Welcome to the worst. There are 14 rounds to be played out amongst 15 players. Each round will result in one player being eliminated from the game - that player is "the worst". The game will continue until only 1 player remains, and that player will be the BEST of the GL and inducted into the worst hall of fame.

Each player owns 1 bye that allows you to skip a round and ensure you cannot lose. You also may have the opportunity to win extra byes later in the game. Some rounds are announced as NO BYE rounds. You CANNOT skip these rounds. The last 4 rounds will be no bye rounds, and there may be others. (Rounds where the rules require a certain number of players will also be NO BYE rounds)

The first round allows byes.

Player List
UnheardVoice
Termital
dethwing
Werebear
Duphrates

ELIMINATED - worst to best
mathgrant - Couldnt handle 20 questions
Faeriefire - Couldnt find her way through a maze of arrows
IS - Couldnt add to 111
Sparticus - Scrabble turned around to bite nastily
Vegt2001 - Chess proved to hard...
MadMax - Voted herself 4 times over, but didnt score enough in balderdash
Jeep - Found wanting in letter rearrangement

WHO or WHAT am I:

I am a famous person, object, place or whatever. Directly in the thread post ONE question that you think will help you solve who I am. The question can only be answered "Yes", "No", "Pass" or "Invalid Question". You then from the list of 15 questions email me all the ones you want answers to. I will send you the answers. The player who uses the most questions to correctly solve who I am is eliminated. In the case that more than one GLer are unable to get the answer a further round of questions from those players will be played out -- If after four rounds no one is eliminated - the person(s) who solved first will select the loser from those who HAVENT solved.

It is VERY possible that NO-ONE has the answer in the fourth round, so you will need discuss your plan of attack amongst yourselves as to how to ask the questions to give yourselves a chance of staying in, and not having someone eliminated by the leader(s)

Good luck

You may publish any findings to help the team out, eg if you ask "Are you a colour" and I answer "YES" you may publish hints to help others out, but be aware that someone has to be eliminated and it may be you in the gun....

Just to note, Dethwing raised a point, the number of questions you use is cumulative. If you ask for 5 in round 1, and 6 in round 2, you end up with a total of 11 questions. This means even if you solve in round 1, you may still be eliminated if you asked for too many questions. Nice little trap (eg round 1 you ask for all 15 questions and solve it, someone else might ask for 5 in round 1, and 5 in round 2 thereby beating your score)

Faeriefire the question must be answered yes or no. The answer to that question can only be yes, so please dont make yourself cannon fodder for the winner to pick you off if the situation occurs

Up to you really - but your question can only be answered yes or no

so how are you going to read this.....

Q: Are you a current famous person, object, place or whatever? A: YES

Does this give you any information whatsoever? You might say that means Im a famous person, an object or a place OR A WHATEVER. Which effectively means I could be anything since nothing is excluded in the question.

PS Asking a question that I used in my instructions seems even crazier. Remember you could be picked off so I advise trying not to annoy those that need questions to solve what/who/... I am

Dethwing, trying to get too much information with a single question is dangerous. The question reduces to "Is the famous person human?" Unless you are thinking that something like "undead" will get a no answer.

Ambiguos whether famous refers to person or the whole set. But how does this get us any information even it was phrased more along the lines of "Are you currently famous?" Since you were given a chance to change, I suggest you do so.

Veg, what group is this supposed to be narrowing down? It seems to be an intersting question.

Were you born in the 20th century?

Would a tourist map specify your usual location?

Btw amb, for those of us that have to go through multiple rounds, would we be able to pick some of the questions we didn't from the previous rounds or just those asked in the current? And what makes you think that the early winners are likely to pick people that ask dumb questions? They're more likely to want to remove the clever ones . Then again, those of us that think of themselves as geniuses will try to put up useless questions to confuse/limit the rest, so maybe they should be picked after all .

Faerie it would be easier to just make a new post rather than going back and editting.

Yes you may discuss tactics via AIM (How would I know otherwise anyway). You are more than welcome to form teams, but you can also backstab yr team if you want too. The goal is not to be eliminated.

No you cant pick questions from previous rounds unless someone reasks them

Are you male?
Are you in the US?

I would like to ask: Does the adjective "famous" modify the noun "object"? i.e. Could it be a cereal bowl, or must it be, say, the world's biggest ball of belly button lint?
