Woot - the first chat was pretty successful - read the whole thing here if you're so inclined. But basically, it went like this:
The party, grasping the need to break the 'statues' contact with the water, moved Pikachamp and the other two statues away from the fountain. Following this effort, mudster picked the lock on the copper door, but before the party could go through the door, they were summoned by dethwing, who had been able to shake the vending machine and get it to dispense a can marked with a blue triangle and the number seven.
The party gathered round to discuss what to do with the can, finally deciding to sample its contents. It was clear, tasted like berries and was very refreshing. They decided to save it for later.
Mudster went through the copper door and was hit by a minor acid trap, which he was able to disarm and retrieve the remaining acid from. The party then moved through the copper door, and down the hall, which turned to the right. Around the corner, they saw another arch hung with an orange drapery on their left. They moved through the arch and discovered a small lab. In the lab was a fair amount of glassware (of which SaberKitty and mudster both took some) and a large and impressive book. The book sat on a podium, and was open to a page that read "Ah, imp, pack: a bitter sky, dada typewriter eels, drum set. End wight, wee barer!" The facing page read "Speak the magic word!".
The party pondered this for a moment, and decided to move on. They moved back into the hall and continued down it. Almost immediately, they were fired upon. The party fought a raging battle against three bugbears and were victorious. The room that the bugbears were inhabiting was set up as a bedroom - one bed was too large, one was too small, and one was *just right*... they had conquered the three bears.
Dethwing, meanwhile, had been pondering the meaning of the words in the book. The party returned to the lab, and after much deliberation, spoke the missing magic word, "ONE". The book disappeared and in its place was a token.
mudster, ever suspicious, returned to the three bears' room and searched it. He discovered a hidden door that led into a kitchen, where they discovered Goldilocks, tied to a chair. They freed her, and to their surprise, she told them that she needed maintenance, and then shut down. They checked the bugbear bodies and determined that the bugbears, like Goldilocks, were robotic constructs. They returned to the fountain room, carrying the malfunctioning Goldi-bot and a damaged and non-functioning bugbearbot.
Dethy then took his token and put it in the vending machine, and pressed the green triangle and the 6 button, which caused the machine to dispense a can marked with green triangle-6. Its contents smelled like almond, and a taste of it made several party members feel disoriented.
Dethy retrieved another token from the Goldi-bot.
The party then turned its attention to the number puzzle box. They came up with an answer of "15", and Dethy traced the figure 15 in the empty spot on the box lid. The box opened, revealing a silver key.
The party opened the silver door and found behind it a valve wheel. They turned the wheel and the fountain shut off, all the water draining out of its bowl. SaberKitty fashioned a scoop from some drapery pieces and retrieved nine gems from the fountain bowl.
So, as it now stands:
Dethy has a vending machine token and a can of (green triangle)-6
Mudster has a flask of acid and a flask of oil
SaberKitty has a flask of (blue triangle)-7
DPW has a shield with a two-headed lion on it
Neo has two longswords
There are, unclaimed and in the fountain room: nine wet gems.
The party has 17 silver pieces, looted from the bugbears.

As Dethy pours the liquid onto Pika, steam rises from the statue. Dethy pours out the contents of the can...
And ice melts away, freeing Pika.
Pika may now rejoin the group.

Pika goes to shock one of the other statues, thinks better of it, and decides to try it on a gem instead. He emits a stream of electricity into a gem, but nothing interesting happens.

Pika moves down the hall to the electric field. He steps forward to examine it, and his field shorts it out. Beyond the field you see a hall with three doors on the left, painted with large numbers 1, 2, and 3. A large stone golem stands in the middle of the hall beyond the doors. It looks at Pika.

Mudster gives the international symbol for "I've watched too much Star Trek" and the golem grins. Its facial features creak slightly as it says slowly, "Hello there. I am Monty - this is my Hall. Have you brought any friends to help you play the game?"
