It seems that I will be replacing jadesmar for the leadership of Germany. If anyone who had a standing alliance with the German forces would contact me, I will see what I can do about it. Also, if anyone who didn't have an alliance with Germany wants one, I might also do that. In particular, if anyone, ~cough Russia cough~, would like to refrain from conquering me this turn and instead email me, that would be very nice. Since the deadline seems to be today, I'll go ahead and send some orders in, but I will also check email again today in case anyone has any offers for me.

I used the email link on the website and received a reply that said he hadn't been playing for a few months. But someone's sending moves, and it would be nice to be able to contact them.

Sorry i did not have time to do it last night: dad was playing Dune2000 till very late and i fell asleep - but until tonight it could be up.

However, mole's date of last post is 01-23-2003 *and* he didn't answer to my email. How am i to handle this?

That is a tough call. The strict answer is that he is still in civil disorder and doesn't get any builds. That definitely changes the flavor of the game though. The other alternative is to find a replacement for him.

Sparhawk! If you are willing, you can play Turkey and I can take over Italy for you. Since I am going on a 4 months contract work, I will not have much time to play Turkey well. I hope you all can understand my point of view. Please do advise me.

Maximus: Let's see -- I can play Italy and get run over by Turkey, or play Turkey and run of Italy. Hmm... Tough choice. Sure, I will take you up on that if no one else objects.

A question for the rest of players in this game: Does anyone object to new regimes in Russia and Turkey? It is potentially a radical change to how the game plays and I don't want to mess anyone up. OTOH, it would get the game moving again.

I think, Sparhawk is playing ---- Turkey, as long as there is no one to object (Germany & France)
If I am playing Italy then I will give my best to keep the Turkey away from me
