You know the drill. Without outside help, select as many correct answers as you can. Per question, the score is 1-3-6-10-15-21-28 for 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 correct answers. One wrong answer to a question and that question is a wipe-out for 0 points.
Do not post answers here, but send them to dragonphoenixrevived @ yahoo.com before 16 July.
1. Identify the seven lyrics taken from U2 songs:
And the violence caused such silence
Bodies strewn across the dead end street
If I could throw this lifeless lifeline to the wind
I have spoke with the tongue of angels
Leave the cobwebs in the closet
Over the counter with a shotgun
The traffic is stuck and you're not moving anywhere
To drag the past out into the light
Well my heart is where it's always been
Were you lying all the time, was it just a game to you?
2. Identify the seven curses by Hergé’s Captain Haddock:
Anthracite!
Boa constrictors!

And slightly off-topic, but "The Germans" is the best Fawlty Towers episode, period
Whatever you do, don't mention the war |

thanks for confirming my idea: when you have no idea whatsoever what the question is about, choose one random item. Chances are 70%, and they drop to 53% if a second item is added. My ones come from just doing that, and they represent an estimated probability of 75%!! |

7/10 * 1 point = .7
7/10 * 6/9 * 3 points = 1.4
7/10 * 6/9 * 5/8 * 6 points = 1.75
7/10 * 6/9 * 5/8 * 4/7 * 10 points = 1.66...
You should guess 3. |

mith, i don't want to go for the expected values, but for the highest chance of being correct. Plus i only have one fav. number between 1 and 10!
MV, be glad you did! You might've gotten only 12 points otherwise, losing half a rank. Ow and btw, your tiebreaker answer also had more than three...
