John, i wonder if you would be so kind as to modify the GLOrd###.htm files - i mean i was recently looking at the 05 topic and i wondered who played Russia. I figured i should go to your site to check it, but since it's not on the first page anymore (it went out) i discovered you don't keep names in the other files. And you don't keep them in the first post of the topic either... Not every power posts "Adjective[] embassies now open", do they?

Why is it that England want's to prolong this game with moves like that in the previous turn?

If nothing happens this turn, can we invoke something similar to the 50 move rule in chess? Say, no SCs change hands in 4 years, it's a draw? (the SCs have been the same since 1916 in this game)

Will adjudicate tomorrow, MadMax has just had a 16-hour day and needs time to think her orders through. The move to NAO didn't work out too well, so I take her point.

In some internet games, the Moderator can call it a draw if he announces he will award a draw if no SC's change hands for 3 years. This is entirely at his discretion. For future games we can make that a rule, but I'm unhappy to invoke it in a game where the rule was not part of the original rules.

It wasn't an entirely serious suggestion, I just don't understand why they're dragging this game out.

I think that's a perfectly valid rule to adopt. If no supply centres change hands for a particular length of time, why not call the game a draw?
