Realm of Darkness - Making a comeback and partially open to

we know she isn't a true friend. She's in it for the power, and since our village is a part of her Empire, she is obliged to protect it by default. The only problem is that if she is in control, and she is being attacked from many fronts (Like i mentioned, we don't know about what these Myths are all about, they might want to invade...), then she might not put full emphasis on our village, which is what we would want. As the ones going on this mission, it would be only right for us to keep what we find.

The only reason we might have to make a deal with her is the fact that since she is so powerful, she could have us killed/tortured etc. if we don't agree to her terms. She has been nice, but one gets the impression that she'd used to getting her way.

I vote no on the agreement with the Empress.

Ohhh sorry people, but my computer wouldn't let me connect to the Internet for a while. *pokes tongue out at nasty computer* *also hugs Sivat for being so patient* Thanky. Right, on with he show...

'You won't join me?' Keara screams wildly, knocking over a small lamp at her side as she stands up. You have returned from the busy centre of Lucani, and have not even had time to open your mouths before her angry rage begins.

'I know you were in the tavern, my spies saw you there! You are trying to elude me, aren't you? And so, you do not trust me, and you're going to reject my offer! I see it all now... YOU are the traiterous ones, YOU have brought your own destruction upon yourselves...'

The Myth in the corner stirs visibly, and a purple glow emits from its chest. You can hear a voice whispering to you as Keara continues to shout and scream wildly.

"Her evil is no match for mine.... you will see it.... the darkness draws ever closer, and so does your demise... You are in the Myths realm now, and you will know our might..."

Keara stops suddenly, and glares at you, her eyes blackening with rage. She waves a hand in the air, and a small patrol of 4 Lucani soldiers enter through a portcullis to your left. They have poison spears and sleep gas, and the lead soldier carries a diamond pendant, warning you that your lightning will not work here.

The soldiers are strong, they have stamina beyond compare, and they are heading in your direction. Keara grins evilly, flicking her mass of golden curls out behind her.

'If you will not join me, then you will join the others who dared to challenge the power contained within these walls! Try to die honourably, bold warriors that you are, for Lucani shall be your final resting place!'

One word: Fight.

Each of you need to fight, and you have to pick one attack or weapon before I create the fight sequence. Each of you can use either one weapon or one attack.

No drapes.... Keara likes sunshine....

I will use my Death sword (one handed) and claw as well.
As I worry about her Magic I wear the protection against darkness.

ok then. i don't want to be the only one not helping in this fight. I ready my bow, take an arrow and aim.

Before you have chance to attack, one of the guards throws a canister of sleep gas. pikachamp is the unfortunate one who succumbs to the gas, but as he drifts off into a slumber he lashes out at a guard, severly injuring him.
Whilst CrystyB and Sivat try to deal with the guards, MadMax takes the intiative and, using the death sword, ensures Keara meets a swift and deserved end. However, the dark spirit that she leaves behind on her passing knocks MadMax out cold.

MadMax: Health 1%

CrystyB manages to take care of two of the guards, including the injured one, but is hit by a poison spear...

CrystyB: Health 99% (and falling)

Sivat does well to fend off and kill one guard, and although he does receive a few nasty punches, also takes care of the final guard.

Sivat: Health 75%
CrystyB: Health 97%

The Myth in the corner, which has until now watched you silently, now breaks out of its chains with apparent ease, and floats over to you. You are poised to attack, but it simply gives you these words of warning:

'The battle is far from over. You have Lucani, but we have the staff, and the power...'

It glares at you, rendering you paralysed for a few moments, then decides not to kill you just yet, and it floats off towards the horizon, back to the fortress.

Many things have come of this battle.... having disposed of Keara, you are now the rulers of Lucani, and have its army at your disposal. HOWEVER, one of you must stay behind to rule the city (but you still get plenty to do... I'll make sure of that...). I will wake pikachamp up in my next post, until then rest, heal, and make some important decisions.

interesting. MadMax has fallen quite ill. with only 1% left, and since she is the healer, she cannot heal herself with her skill...

I do not object to using my healing potion to heal her, but if she is unconscious, are we allowed to use her own to heal her, or can she specify, being unconscious as she is?

i would use mine but since she has 12 i say we take one from her. If she disagree afterwards i can let her have mine (and maybe i could buy more later). Anyway to prevent this kind of situation from happening to me, use whatever of my inventory is necessary if i would be in a similar position. For now, i really think i need her to cure my poison...

i'll go and rest, tend to my wound and chew a bit on some rations, maybe i'll get lucky and it will wear off.

Well, MadMax was the one who actually killed Keara, so if anyone gets to rule, I say she gets first choice.

I'm fine for the moment, so i won't take any action to heal myself just yet. Since we are still inside the city, i assume we can replenish supplies before we leave? Quick question: are Health potions and healing potions the same? If so, then Use my Health Potion to Heal MadMax.

If as you say I come around............Can I heal the poisoned one and any others without wasting potions.
We seem to have a city and army.........but do we have city mages or clerics?
Are we settled in Keara's quarters while discussing this?
What do we acquire from Keara on her body and in her quarters(treasure,maps,information,useful or magic items)?
I am more the outdoors/adventurous type and would prefer to NOT stay and rule, but if nobody else wants the task I am not adverse to a new challenge.

I am back from vacation so will be online and available once again.

The full list of professions currently undertaken by Lucani residents shall be posted shortly, along with numbers of each. You can talk about this anywhere you want, but you have the entire castle at your disposal as well as anywhere within the city walls. Keara was carrying a very strange note, which I will use as the basis for your next task soon, and also a few jewels which you can take to trade with anyone you might meet on the road later.

I will describe the contents of the castle in the next section, when you fully explore the city. If nobody wishes to rule, then you can burn the city to the ground, but you will need to decide what you want from the city before you decide to do that.

I'm sorry I tend to leave a few days in between each post, but I am quite busy at the moment. I can promise that I will never be away for any longer than a week.

Once we are all in good health, shall we explore the town? What is the local feeling at Keara's death?........Perhaps we could acquire some decent armour, weapons and useful items.
Perhaps one of the town mages would like to join our group.
I suggest we all state wether we wish to be ruler of this town.

I think it would be good to see if any of the locals want to join us. It would be good to have some more traveling companions, just for the variety. Two elves, one mutant elf, and a tiger are kinda redundant

We could invite other GL'ers to participate now that they have proof that this game is really functioning

It would be good for us to at least go back to that market after we find out what's going to be our next assignment. I agree that armor and weapons are good to look for. maybe there's a smith somewhere in the city, hopefully.

'Me? Oh, my name is Trino. I'm the smith around here, and the army of Lucani come to me for all their swords and armour and such. I'm nowhere near as good as that guy over the hill in Scenia, and you'll probably meet him soon anyway, but in the meantime I'm here to suit you up. Answer questions? Sure, I'd say I'm quite knowledgeable about this place. Try me.'

'Greetings, brave warriors. No need to introduce yourselves, I already know who you are. I am Cassandra, and my purpose in this town is - well, was - as a court advisor to Keara. Don't get me wrong, I am happy to hear of her demise. I know many things about the hierarchy here, and am more than happy to converse with you on any subject you see fit.'

'Hey there! I'm Juuni, and I'm just a civilian, but I'm a bit of a gossip. I know what everyone does, what they think, and where they might go. You need to find out how many people here work in banks, I'm your man! If you'd like to know who's likely to attack you in the street, your best bet is to find me, and quick.
