Hmm... I was gonna buzz this rule, but dictionary.com has both ärnt and är`ent as correct pronunciations.

Sorry groza, you're up.

Yes, but shouldn't hardtoread have hyphens or something?
Bah, I'll be thinking about my rule.

Why is it that people get 4 days on weekends but no time on weekdays (when they are actually doing stuff?)

*Knows the answer*
I think the reason for the extension over weekends is because some people can only access the GL from work. 'Twould appear rather odd then for them to show up on the weekend in order to meet the deadline.
Boss: "My, you're eager to get work done on this fine, Sunday afternoon."
Employee: "Umm... actually... *thinks* Don't tell the truth, don't tell the truth I don't have the internet at home, and I need to check my message boards like I do during the week. Damn."
Boss: "What? You're fired, you lazy jerk."
Employee: "Um, sir, just out of curiosity, why are YOU here on a Sunday?"
Boss: "Good question. Don't tell the truth, don't tell the truth. You can have your job back if you forget you asked."
Employee: "Yes sir, sir."

Rule one: rules shall contain words unreversable (entryless when inputted backwards @ "dictionary.com"). Rule doesn't include acronyms, abbreviations, periodic table entries, etcetera - definitions only.

Words shall contain any prime quota of letters, which, coupled to law two implies rules shall consist totally of words of these lengths: two, three, seven, (seven minus two) letters.

*buzz?*

Is fo considered a word?

It is true that 'fo' is different than 'Fo', but Werebear defined "unreversable" as "(entryless when inputted backwards @ 'dictionary.com')".

'fo' does have a valid entry, making it reversable, and thus violating the rule.

I think the question is whether or not that's a definition. This isn't Scrabble, were it's not a word if it's capitalized or whatever, so I'd think yes.

But Werebear didn't say the reversal had to be a word in order to be banned; he just said it had to have a non-abbreviation entry with a definition when inputted at dictionary.com in order to be banned. "fo" has a non-abbreviation entry with a definition when inputted at dictionary.com, so by Werebear's rule it should be banned. (I'd say "the Chinese name of the Buddha" counts as a definition.)

Hmm...
Looks like this one's a tough decision for me to make, because the rule clearly states:

There are 3 things I can choose to do:
1) I should make the decision (I am the mod)
2) Have the players vote (Result: all against one)
3) Let Werebear decide (unbiased)

I hate to say it, but I wouldn't buzz "fo". What I was really looking for was words that are easily reversed, like "on" and "no"

Well, I wasn't gonna buzz him either.

Based on Werebear's previous post and my beliefs, groza is not buzzed.

Werebear has until 11:59PM GL time Tuesday to come up with a rule. (Get cracking.)

The rules hence shall all be totally freed of the letters after the letters hence: [FHOUY] (three, short one) after the letters hence: [UHE] and three after the letters hence: [HN]. Any use of these letters shall end the current round.

I was THIS close to accidentally making it (Three minus one), which of course would leave an illegal "i" in it... I changed it at the last moment.

You shall use rimes for three terms of thy command: the 6th term, the 24rd term, and the 56th term.
Numbers too shall be labeled "terms" for all rules.
These too shall be labeled "terms" for all rules: "1st", "2nd", "3rd", ..., "6th", ..., "24rd", ..., "56th", ... .
These shant be labeled "terms" for all rules: "?", "!", """, "(", ")", "[", "]", "{", "}", "\", "/", "*", ".", ",", "...", "-", "+", " ", ... .
You shall shout "Whoopie!" another day.

And what exactly was that rule trying to say? I've read it a few times and still don't get it.

I want a long round; I don't think I've yet made two rules in the same round.
