Well, I've done all I can. All the forums are fine except for OT and VSP. The problem there is a loss of topic list. The threads are still there.

OT and VSP both have 'Post New' as an option right now. Will using this wipe existing posts?

i guess i will turn vsp and ot off. it shouldnt hurt anything, if something gets posted, because all of the older threads in there are gone anyway.

mith, you still need to fix Ask the Minotaurs and GLN. Before the incident, only Minotaurs could start GLN threads, and any unregistered users could post to AtM. Now, in both forums, all registered users, and only registered users, can post.

Also, in VG, Samadhi has two active threads (including a Mafia thread) and BraveHat has one. Would it be possible for you to tweak the threads so that Samadhi can use the "Samafried" name to edit the first post of his Mafia, and so that BraveHat can use his/her new name to edit the first post of "Hot Consonants"? Since the passwords for their old names were corrupted.

BTW, why was GLN renamed "Bomb Shelter"?

Alright, here is what happened:

Sometime last night, Lept noticed there was a problem with OT and imed me. I was in VG, so I just hopped on over and noticed that there was nothing showing up on the topic list. no big deal, happens alot, i can just click "show all" and find the broken thread.

Nothing is there, *at all*. In fact, on the main page, OT and VSP both show a 0 post count.

First thing I checked then was that all the threads were ok. Everything was still there, I just went to the HTML list and that worked fine. Then I tested a reply in OT and VG, both worked fine.

I then got the idea to open a new forum for people to post to until Hy fixed things in OT and VSP. There's already a forum 13 set up (or there was, anyway), so all i did was turn it on and give it a name.

I go back to the main DF page, and everything is gone. Find DP's thread, hit post reply, it wont even let me reply. Check the control panel, all the forums are gone.

So, I make my announcemnt on the GL.

I decide then that it can't hurt anything to start a new forum for posting, because the worst it could do is overwrite GLN and there isnt anything there anyway that i couldnt repost. So I did. Called it "Bomb Shelter", just for fun. That's why that's still there apparently, though I don't know why it still says it.

Then I posted this thread, because I saw that it still had the topic list for GLN. Which is very odd. I realized that if that happened, then all I had to do was restore the forums to fix everything.

So, I did. I just don't know the descriptions. Also, I left off VSP, OT, and all the admin ones because they are messed up. The admin ones in fact are completely gone. I think that was because when i tried to restore them, i marked them as private, and that's the only thing i can think of that might mess things up.

Oh, and as for fixing GLN and ATM, yeah, I can do that, it's just a matter of changing a few options. I'm just not going to right now.
