| Interesting...I bet one of us masons are about to go next, knowing that since there are only 2 unconfirmed townies left, the mafia dude will most likely leave the other townie alive so that we'll not know who it was. |

Just when the masons thought they would survive with every member of their lodge intact, they suddenly realise (and with horror) that one of their kind is missing.
Upon further examination, ralphmerridew is found with a bullet in his back.
Mason ralphmerridew has been murdered - it is now day - please vote - deadline Thursday 14 March, 11am GL time |

Everyone's eyes turn to Alfie who looks sheepishly away. 15 people poor souls have been lost in the once-peaceful village of Messina when the mafia decided to make their mark.
As the noose is put round Alfie's head, he calmly explains that he would have beaton the town if it wasn't for them pesky kids and promptly falls to a certain death.
Congratualtions - mafia Alfie has been lynched

| On a personal note I'd like to thank everyone for playing - seeing as this was a newb mafia, I was very impressed that everyone posted and no-one dropped out. Good game to all. |

Thanks to Samadhi I'm sure from all the players. Of the mafias I've played this was as well run as any. I enjoyed it hugely. Thanks to everyone else from me too. Goes off to look for the Pizza on the Park

Excellent game.
Yeah, thanks Sooth. I know these things take up a lot of time and such, so thanks for keeping everything running so smoothly.
We had a terrible start, but I think CC's good choice on coming out when he did was the TSN turning point :] |

yay! This was a fun game, so thanks Sooth and everyone else. (If only Zealot hadn't been so suspiciously innocent!)
I'd like to know why the mafia made their choices for some of the murders, like Magness, and why not kill mith when they had the opportunity?

I enjoyed reading everyone's reasoning behind their posts - but perhaps a big round of applause for Mith for his post (#217)

Good game. Lots of fun. I've been on spring break and I didn't quite even get to see my execution, but I knew it was near. Good job town. Since you asked what our reasoning was behind our kills, I decided to look back over the game and figure it out. All in all, it was a very good game, close most of the time. I was quite suprised for a newbie game -- a good thing.
DP - townie
We had to kill someone first. We picked for the most part randomly, but sice we didn't have much experience, we decided to go for someone we were relatively sure was not a newbie. We almost picked mith, we would have done much better if we had.
Antrax - Doctor
Antrax was providing a lot of good discussion, never a good thing for mafia. The choices that night were for AP, mith or Antrax. We were afraid that AP might be protected by the cop. We considered killing mith because we knew that if he were invesigated people would know he was innocent. We already had to deal with Coyote. So, we killed Antrax because we figured a doctor wouldn't be likely to protect him. As for the Doctor part, we got lucky.
Annoyingpest - Cop
He was to dangerous to let live. We weren't confidant enough to let him live.
Coyote - townie
He was a known innocent. It was either him or mith and he won the vote.
Magness - townie
We were hoping to kill a mason or the other cop. We didn't really even consider mith because he had made killing him rather pointless. He had already accomplished as much good as he could. We really needed to kill a cop tonight or at least a mason. Unfortunately, we got neither. This is when the game was really lost.
Captain Canada - Cop
Not much thought here: he had come out and we couldn't contest him. Since we knew he was the cop and there was no way to get the town to doubt him, we had to kill him to prolong the game.
LocoLobo - townie
Get a confirmed innocent. Again, not much thought.
ralphmerridew - Mason
I was hoping to throw suspicion off of myself by killing the only person that didn't point the finger at me. Enough other people were pointing at me that it didn't matter if I killed one of them. Unfortunately, I was lynched before I was ever able to defend myself.
Here is my question for the town: what did we mafia do that allowed you to figure us out? This is a newbie mafia game, we might as well analize it for the sake of the newbies. (like me! ) |

I can't really say that you misplayed; you just had the bad luck to keep missing the masons. Once CC and the masons came out, you had no hope. (See also Russian Mafia and Mafia 38 to illustrate the power of many masons.)
I suppose that, when looking for the masons, instead of Magness, you could have looked for people that mith hadn't accused (had mith accused Magness at any point?) |

After I got lynched, I expected every turn for Alfie to kill mith. We should have gotten rid of mith a long time ago. I don't know what I was thinking.
I can't believe that all masons survived longer than the cops and doctor!
