Sorry I've not been posting. But I've just read the last 6 pages, and have more or less caught up.

I'd like to Vote: Werebear because his remark about there being only two aliens makes it sound like he's an alien himself, and is drawing attention away from himself. Also, there was something that struck me as suspicious about him earlier in the game, but I can't remember what it was.

Who was it that got Lisa Simpson lynched BEFORE she COULD claim a role? I have no idea who is guilty and who is not, but Corsato seems like the biggest bandwagon whore ever and his behavior with the Lisa lynch demonstrates how good it is for the mafia when we rush into lynches.

After he spoke up, I decided to believe him for now (as clearly stated in post nr 367) and move to Werebear, who is most suspicious at the moment IMHO. And if a better candidate comes along, I'll switch again.

If anyone is responsible for the death of Lisa it's you. Your vote for Cadmium was third in the bandwagon, and right when the bandwagon was on hold, you made a confirm vote with one of your famous long-and-not-making-a-lot-of-sense posts. You were absolutely positive she was evil. Don't blame anyone for your own mistakes Sketchwick, people tend not to like that behaviour (so do I).

...how's this for an argument that I'm not an alien. I just re-re-read the whole thread, and just realized THREE aliens have been eradicated - Kang (mole), and his sister (Macros) I remembered, but I'd forgotten TCM was "The Alien" killed by mafia. So the post that "got me in trouble", i.e. - my lamenting that there were more than two aliens, should have actually been lamenting that there were more than three aliens. So, either I'm a sly calculating individual, or I'm an idiot loudmouth. Given my posts, which do you think I am?

On second thought, I think I'd prefer you thought I was a sly calculating individual. *Grin*

Hm. Werebear claims that he's only seen a handful of Simpsons episodes. Do such people exist?

His miscount of the dead aliens is suspicious, though perhaps forgivable if he honestly forgot there were 3 aliens in the Simpsons universe... we Simpsons experts never lost count, because we know there are three aliens (Kodos, Kang, and then the little-known cook from the Halloween episode).

So then, all of the aliens are dead. Or are they? If this game is built strictly around the Simpsons Universe, then yes, they are. But I'm willing to play Devil's Advocate on that one, and say that there are MORE than 3 aliens, and that a role which would normally seem like TOWN is actually ALIEN.

And since Werebear seems so caught up with aliens, and how he isn't one... I conclude through paranoid reverse-psychology fuzzy logic that he is a threat, and must be eliminated.

Perhaps "conclusion" is a strong word. Call it a "hunch," then.

first, I don't watch much TV at all. Normally when I have the TV on, it's on cartoon network. When the Simpsons are on is when I'm putting my kids in their beds. So, though I like the show a lot, I really haven't seen many at all.. probably 5 or 6 complete episodes. Now to the meat of the post.

DujRock - I just looked in the Simpsons Archive... there were four aliens. Kang, Kodos, Serak the Preparer (the cook - voice by James Earl Jones) and a fourth alien... in order to pronounce his name, you had to pull out your tongue. Hopefully not completely.

I'd give you a FoS for not knowing that, but don't think it's worth it, since I didn't even know there were aliens on the show.

I have my reasons for not believing you, but the fact that someone who claims to be in a two person mason doesn't believe a person who claimes the same makes my suspicion grow. It's really obvious that when Homer en Marge know eachother, Lisa and Bart would too.

If I haven't spent enough time convincing the town of that it's because I have faith in Marge. If I am close to being lynched I trust her judgement whether to come out and vouch for me or let me hang. I'm not very good at figuring out who is mafia, but sometimes I can shake things up and other people can use that.

Basically I feel werebear is a loudmouth. I haven't played with him before, but in general it's hard to be a loudmouth mafia and not give something away. Obviously if I KNEW he was mafia I'd stick with him. I thought quercitron was voting for him because of the "oh joy, did we get all the aliens (this means I'm town, nudge, nudge, wink, wink)" routine. Werebears OMGUS vote for quercitron got a little steam and Corsato jumped right on and when werebears wagon surpassed it Corsato switched again. Looking back I was already suspiscious of Corsato for piling on votes when a player is talking about claiming a role. Now he starts lying and claiming confusion, and while werebear did this about the whole number of aliens thing I think another bandwagon will give the town more info. (shrug)
