Fezzik, If no one reaches 8 votes, do we default to no kill? Or are you doing using DP lynch rules? (majority or half majority at the deadline...) On Day 1 no one got over a couple votes and I didn't see you post the rule. Obviously, since no one died day 1, it's not whoever has most votes.

Sheeeesh! What a mess.

Whislt I, like others before me, can see, and agree with, Dread Pirate Westley's point about the game being the important thing, I don't share the view that the current 'No Lynch' plan is boring, unfair or even a guaranteed win. Consider the possibility that Dread Pirate Westley's next two investigations both find elves, but the bad guys get lucky and strike out a doctor - not impossible, and it'd get the old adrenaline pumping as the stakes get higher...

I'd prefer to have a game where the majority have fun (and the town wins), and then discuss the strategies afterwards - when we can all learn from the game. Let's not forget that this will possibly be a unique Mafia game. Will a No Lynch strategy work? There's only one way to find out, and I for one want to know.

OK, that bit about lynching jeep isn't really relevant. Well, what the heck, he's just as random as UVGF. Unvote: UVGF Vote: jeep. And I trust DP's judgement far more than mine.

Personally, I can't decipher which of "I don't think we should lynch anyone" and "I think we shouldn't lynch anyone" is mafia. If anyone else can, I bow to your superior mafia finding skills.

Well, the only way you can get out of the mess when dealing with reversed psychology is when the two alternatives are somewhat unbalanced in their outcome. There's an imbalance in this case, perhaps not big enough... still makes me believe it's a good idea to vote for one of the no-lynch guys.

if you don't understand what i mean by the previous post, i'll give this example:

a doctor ALWAYS heals a declared, confirmed cop... even though reverse psychology might say the mafia are sure to be sure the cop will be protected by docs, thus they won't attack him, but try to get the doc instead... the doc still has to save the cop every round; because the outcome of not saving while mafia attacks the cop is so overwhelmingly severe compared to the other one (saving every round while the mafia attacks someone else).

I agree with Antrax. Either vote 'No Lynch' to get the day over with, or at least try to convince people to vote your way. Right now we basically have 5 days of nothing happening before no lynch takes place. That serves no purpose other than to reduce the interest in this game.
