Please don't bump me? I am planning on doing a back to basics mafia of roughly 20-25 players, and it seems that Cheshire Man is AWOL, so I'd be next up. I've waited a long time, since the old list if I remember correctly. Pretty please?

I see a Royal Little Game (RLG) is being started. Could we have a few more, maybe one basic small mafia, and another themed one? I also see the next mod in line is pikachamp. I think everyone on the small list needs to be evaluated, and emailed about their intentions for games, so they can be listed too.. normal/themed, and what theme wouldn't be a bad thing to post here.

Start a new signup list. Make it last a week. People who express an interest, and were on the old list get their spot. people who weren't on the old list get next in order of asking. Let's get this show on the road. I may not be a paragon of mafia hunters, but dammit, I'm HERE all the time.

ok, heres whats happening, note, this is not a suggestion, its a finalisation.
it will be withdrawn only by a major complaint by the tribunial, complaints by others will be ignored. attempts to breach the new setup will result in somwitnhg or other.
the "tribunal" will hopefully be:
dp (agreed), Ant(agreed), Mith (pending), Samadhi (pending)
heres the deal.
mini games (12 players MAX) - 3 at a time. anyone can mod.
20players+ = 2 at a time, experienced mod ONLY

"expeirienced" mods will be determined by the tribunal. you can petition for exp status, but it will generally appointed.

you can retain your position on thelists by posting now that you want to sign up for a mini game (you will be upgraded if your name is added to the "exp mods" list). people requesting for a mini game will be put to the bottom of the mini games list.

wait so i spent hours preparing dilbert mafia...only now to find out i cant have it happen, because of the new rules, after being on the wait list and waiting?....because im not an "experianced" mod....

[1] I repeat what I said in the OT thread - think for yourself whether this ia a game for players or mods.
[2] yes, if we go through with this, the current list will serve to determine the sequence for the 12pp games.
[3] If you have a great idea (or even a completely worked out game plan) for a >12 mafia, try to get an 'experienced' mod interested.
[4] The experience at miths site so far is that 12pp games are fun and quick, and that more complicated games typically come in the 20-30 range.
[5] The new proposed system has pros and cons, but so does the old one. At least in the new one, there will be a quicker turn around because of smaller games.

Well I was signed up for a small game when the limit on those was 20, but since the limit is changed I would have to mod a small game of 12 people, then apply for experienced status, then wait again on the medium list to do my original theme idea if I'm reading this right. Well, sign me up for a small game then.

So you have a great idea for a mafia game. Fine. In the new scheme, show it to one of the experienced mods and if it is that great it will be run. If you want, you can co-mod. In which case it will be quicker than in the old list.

I have been reading the discussion in OT, and I understand why there is the new system. I would like to mod a mini game to get a more behind the scenes look at the game. I have no plans to continue modding (unless i really like it and am good at it.) In the post where I first signed up, I said I would consider a co-mod if I didn't think I would be ready to do it by myself.

As a player of mafia games but not a mod, I have to say that I like this. I know it is a *big* pain to the people who are having the system change out from under them, and I am sorry about that. But I think that this is overall a good thing.
