Welcome to Tintoretto, a quiet village on the right side of Sicily's notorious vulcano, the Etna. A pieceful hamlet, with only 12 inhabitants, going their own little way. Unfortunately, this morning they found a note on the city hall door... "Buon Giorno compadres! Our Family has asked us to take over the power in this litle village, and to do so, we will kill one of you each night... Grazie, the Mastroiani family." And now night is falling....

THE ROLES
3 Mastroiani mafia. They know eachother, talk at the games 'night' via email and select a victim.
1 sane cop. Will email me each 'night' one name and will get the result MAFIA or NOT MAFIA.
1 doctor. Will email me each 'night' one name to protect. Should that player be targeted by the mafia, there is no night kill.

GENERAL RULES

1. Don't be a jerk.
2. Do not post emails from me.
3. Do not talk about this game outside the thread, except for the mafia (and they only at 'night')
4. During the games 'days' you vote to select a lynch victim to rid the town of the mafia. A majority of the votes means that that player hangs, and night starts.
5. I will set deadlines for the night choices. The first night if you need to make a choice but don't, I will do so for you (random). The other nights, if you do not meet the deadline, too bad.
6. If the game starts dragging, I will set a deadline for the day voting. I will announce that at least 48h beforehand. When a day deadline arrives, 50% of the majority suffices to be lynched. In the event of a tie of votes, the one who got there first hangs.
7. If you want out of the game, tell me so by email, but do not just publish your role and leave.

and most important:

8. When you are dead, you are dead! No more posting in this thread. This holds especially for the cop.

THE PLAYERS

Tanstaafl
Madmax
Dark/Soothsayer/Vegtable2001
Peekay
Beartalon

DEAD:
A Fire Inside (townie, lynched)
Termital (townie, shot)
Duphrates (mafia, lynched)
ML (townie, shot)
Faerie Fire (mafia, lynched)
Garm (townie, shot)
Xer0x (mafia, lynched)

If there is anything unclear, ask now please... or during the game, email me.

Have fun!

Vote: Antrax for highly suspicious behavior. Someone had to say it.

(for the newbies: No, the game hasn't started. No, Antrax isn't playing. No, I'm not either. Yes, we have no bananas, we have no bananas today.)

If we get really drunk at the bar, everyone will be too inebriated to commit a murder anyway, so I'll get another round in . Make merry, not war, that's what I say. What's everyone having?

"Don't worry about clossching time" says Duphrates, now falling all over the place - "Party at -hic- mine -hic- bring schum take-outsch" -then proceeds to grab everyone in a "friendly" headlock saying "do you know, how much -hic- I luuurve thisch perschon". Falls over, closes eyes and goes to sleep with the barmaid shaking her head, tutting.

(This is a great game)

It is day

As dawn breaks, the restless citizens of Tintoretto gather around the village square, in fearful anticipation of the nights events. A quick headcount reveals... twelve... !? Someone demands a recount, but the result is the same. Everyone is alive! Was it all just a bad dream? Or?

Anyway, this gives the town the chance to get ahead of the mafia. Time to start discussions and voting in order to lynch one of you.

NB please put your votes in bold for my convenience. Adn no editing or deleting of posts.

I have asked Soothsayer to take over from Dark, at least until he shows up.

Vote: Peekay - Not much logic can be applied to the first vote, so I'm just going on portayed behaviours, like trying to sneak around unnoticed.

I agree about the lack of logic in first day votes, though I assure you my sneaking in was an aspect of my everday personality, not my game one. Anyway, keeping with the lack of logic, my random number generator tells me to Vote: A Fire Inside until someone gives me a good reason to change to another player.

We're not going to get anything done if we vote randomly. I say we vote for someone who hasn't yet said anything. That leaves Dark, A Fire Inside, and Tanstaafl. Ummmmmm . . . . . . (oh, oh randomness). vote: A Fire Inside

In my games, the doctor can only heal other players.
