*Takes Soothsayer/Dark surrogate's offer and munches quietly, trying to decide.*
Whomever the Doctor is, he or she might have saved me. Whomever the cop is knows at the status of at least one person. There are 5 more people to vote (for the first time), and remaining 7 have offered 6 different people, one of which is me. Man, Duphrates is grumpy in the morning. I'll have someone else poke him next time.
*stops trying to make it logical already*
Hey, TANSTAAFL, I just had a free lunch! |

| A clear majority - at the moment 7 votes - guarantees a lynch. If the game starts dragging, I will set a deadline. Once the deadline is reached, 50% of the clear majority is required for a lynch. At present that would be 4 votes. If the front-runner has less than 4, no lynch. If there are 2 or 3 players at 4 votes, I will lynch the one who got there first. In the endgame (6 or less) there will only be a lynch by majority, even at the deadline. |

Oh, by the way, if you get an ISE, which mafia games seem to get plenty of, press the "back" button of the browser, leave the message EXACTLY the same, and click "Submit Reply" again. The messageboard recognizes duplicate posts and gets rid of one.

Sorry for taking so long to show up. I left work yesterday right before the game was updated. As you'll all soon see, I am not often online at home.
Anyways, I'll vote: A fire inside

see post 45 for the "7 to lynch" part. It is a reminder to all (including me) how close we are to a lynch.
I add the marker to facilitate finding the vote count back when I want to do an update. |

| Duphrates - 7 to lynch means a person needs that many votes against him/her to be lynched. Marker lets us know the current vote standing without having to wade back through the posts trying to figure it out. |

| And now the game is Fire vs. Fire, folks. With a simple OMGUS vote, this conflagration is really heating up! The pressure cooker's on! Please stay tuned, we'll have more coverage of the Mafia vs. Town game momentarily, after this word from our sponsor, Acme Noose Company. |

Well, newbie was defined as having at most one Mafia game under your belt, so I qualified. And it was fun, but ultimately very painful. (Just check out the stupidity me and amb got engaged in Mossflower.)
I'll also cop to reading another Mafia game. So let's just say I knew the use but not the exact meaning of the OMGUS, and so on..

Now that there is sufficient demand for hot dogs and in order to keep you all happy I am going to have to charge a mere $1 per dog just so that I can break even.
Meanwhile I like the prospect of fire fighting fire - whereas I do not like a mindless bandwagon nor the need to explain your role on the first day it does seem apparent that the two fiery characters explain their innocence.
unvote:ML - until I start hearing arguments from the fire crew

*tosses Soothsayer a $5 and takes 5 hotdogs. It's going to be a long day.*
What - no defence of innocence from the two with higher vote counts? Then again, how can they show their innocence since we have no background to base it on? |

Well, that's the idea -- vote for them and make them show their innocence. If they don't, or can't, or do something dodgy, we assume they're scum and hang 'em.
Right?
(Sorry if it's crappy -- we're all mafia first-timers -- I am anyway)
