MAFIA 57 Rock and Pop - Town wins

[Dragon Phoenix]

Ever since Bill Haley revolutionised popular music, the various artists have lived rather peacefully in this town called Planet Earth. However.... tensions have increased and any moment now things may get out of hand.

Rules:

I will set deadlines for receiving night-time choices. Failure to meet these will result in a random choice being made on your behalf by me on the first occasion, then no result at all on all subsequent occasions.

If I judge that the pace of the game requires it during the day phase, I will declare a deadline for votes and the person with the most votes at that deadline will be lynched. In the event of a tie, it will be the person who reached that total first. Should no-one have reached 50% of the total votes needed for a lynch by the deadline, I will declare no lynch.

In the endgame (6 players or less) only lynches with a real majority will occur. If there is no real majority when a deadline is reached, there will be no lynch.


Should players fail to post for a prolonged period of time, I will try to replace them. If that takes too long, their role dies.

The usual Mafia rules also apply: no posting game relevant information during the night or once you are dead (including your actual identity), no editing or deleting posts, no posting your e-mail, no talking about the game outside the thread, no e-mailing others (unless you are in a group, and then only at night). No talking once you are dead, except for a single, optional "go town" or "bugger" type comment. Usually, I will lock the thread at night.

As day breaks over the music community, the worst fears have become through. The night has been a bloodbath. Four of you are missing... Someone has finally told Michael Jackson (also known as Hitchhiker) to beat it, and a 10 inch stiletto heel through his eyes was a convincing argument. A similar fate fell upon Ozzy Ozbourne, or Quercitron as he liked to call himself recently. His body covered in weird make-up and you notice some feathers around his neck. Death by strangulation is the diagnosis. Poor Madonna (IS)has lost her head. Literally. To a chainsaw. After finding these three bodies, it is a relieve to find that the fourth missing person is still alive, be it vast asleep. Werebear will not be able to post today. Roles will not be revealed until the end - to make it more exciting.

Twentyseven remain. Fourteen to lynch.

Wow, there are at least three groups with killing abilities? That's not good. So what could they be? A mafia family, a serial killer and maybe a vigilante? Maybe two mafia families and a SK? Can you please tell me where I tried to discourage anyone? I can't seem to find it myself. All I did, was telling you people what my ideas are on what the possibilities could be in this game. Since when is that a crime? IMHO this is not a good arguement to vote for me. But there was more.

Again, can you please explain to me what my reason for voting PP was? I think I made it pretty clear that it was a random vote. My vote for Cadmium was justified IMO. It wasn't based on something solid, it was just the difference between the first and the second part of his post that struck me.

Mith had the same idea, but Ameb vote is just plane old bandwagonning. (Which isn't that bad btw). I'm keeping my vote now, but I'm more then willing to jump whatever bandwagon starts rolling.

Holy cow! I get involved in some IRL activities over the weekend, and the game starts, and 14 votes are cast (more than that if you count a changed vote or two). I'm trying to decipher any votes that conceal thinly veiled hard information, but none jump out through the RNG mumbo jumbo. Of course there's ameb trying to apply logic to the first round to attack Cadmium, and the revenge votes the followed. If I join one of those, I become a bandwagon jumper, so I'll lengthen the list by randomly choosing a non-poster.

But seriously, I don't try to discourage people from using logic (I encourage that as a matter if fact). If you look at some of my previous posts (which you already have done of course ), you notice that I explained my vote some further. It is not Cadmium's use of logic that struck me, it was the contrast between the first part and the second part of his post.
I could have made a random vote, or just start from the beginning of the alphabet.
