I really don'tr know why I bothered.

I am a hot dog salesman who happens to be able to use their salesmanship powers to overhear all kinds of gossip. I can set-up my stall in any part of the town I like and in that way I have the investigative powers of a cop.

Obviously we are playing semantics with words here.

1) There are no cops
2) I have investigative powers
3) I checked Art Begotti on night 1
4) Art is 100% mafia
5) If I am wrong - lynch me on day 2

tfff: What would you like me to explain? At the time I posted, Soothsayer and art begotti were the only two people who had any convincing evidence against them whatsoever: art for being accused by a "cop" and Sooth for claiming to be a "cop". Since Sooth's statement is the best piece of information we have at this stage, I can't see anyone coming under more suspicion than the two people it concerns. Maybe the term "most likely suspects" would have been more appropriate, but I doubt there will be any more "obvious" targets until this issue is cleared up.

I'll cast a vote: art begotti now; Soothsayer still seems confident (confident enough to give away his role before the first night was over?). I'd like to see him respond to the "NO cops" thing, but currently his argument is better than art's.

I am really wondering why a cop would reveal himself so early in so many mafia games. In Newbie Mafia, some of the more experienced players assured us that the cop revealing himself early and asking the doc to protect him was a bad plan. Yet in both this game and in Maf #43, cops have revealed themselves on day one. Frankly this makes me suspicious of Sooth's claim, but we can always lynch him tomorrow if he is either wrong or lying.

Ah, the eternal doubt. If only you'd go and purchase some of these fine Fingerprint Kits, which allow you to investigate the crime scene for yourself, and get the fingerprints of whoever commited that hideous act! Of course, there's the small matter of having to actually MATCH the fingerprints to the perpetrator, but who cares about such triviliaties?
I tend to believe Soothsayer, but in order for him not to feel too safe, I'll give him my **** WRIST OF SUSPICION ****. Oh yes, Soothsayer. My vote might be for art begotti, but should you give me more reason to suspect you, I'll quickly turn that wrist and point my vote at someone else. YOU.

wow! fast night, just informed by scary chic, sorry elayne that day is up, well, Mith and sweetwater dead, mith an experienced mafia player, an obvious target for mafia, but sweetwater? i would not consider him a major threat to a mafia undertacing, i would have someon more prominent in the mafia hunters gallery, but what ever, no suspicions, anybody with news, not sooth, as he is obviously WRONG if people want to go along with his vow and lynch him, i will bandwagon with you, but i thinc maybe he is being mislead in his role, well i odnt thinc that 100%, but ii wouldn't be running to lynch him jus yet, he might have a orle similar to a paranoid cop or something

If you chanced to buy a hot dog from Soothsayer's stand before yesterday in the peaceful town in which we live, you would have thought him a normal, upstanding citizen. But not so--in a recent interview Soothsayer revealed himself as a liar and Mafia scum. "Hey, see art begotti over there, who set up a competing stand?" said Soothsayer while casually rubbing his hidden handgun. "He's mafia scum for sure." When asked how he knew, Soothsayer casually pulled out a fake plastic badge, the kind you buy at the local 5-and-10. "I'm a cop," he said. When it was pointed out that there had been no police force in the town for many years, Soothsayer was unfazed. "Look," he said, "I have the gun, have the badge, have a competitor; what else could I be?" Because of Soothsayer, art begotti was soon unavailable for comment, having been lynched by a gullible town. "Oops," said Soothsayer, while talking on his cell phone in Italian, "must be an insane cop."
Not so! Soothsayer has clearly revealed himself as MAFIA SCUM! We have found the source of corruption in our town! No Lepton Gambits! Soothsayer even claimed he'd vote for himself!!!!!
