Day breaks over Mossflower. The woodlanders (and their enemies) notice two absent persons. The Master and Jadesmar. The Master is found in his home at Brockhall, apparently poisoned. Jadesmar is found, well, actually, fragments of his bones are found, scattered all over Mossflower.
The Master was Bella the badger, leader of the CORIM resistance fighters. She could make one player immune to lynching, and broke ties in the voting.
Jadesmar was barely identifiable, but he was the Mask, an otter and a master of disguise. He had investigative abilities.
It takes nine votes to lynch, and Werebear is immune to lynching.
Commence voting! |

| Unvote: Corasto. He gave a reason that time. Vote: Soothsayer, though. (I think that's the last time I'm doing that. It's like voting for the quiet players, then going on to the next one when the first talks, which normally bugs me after a while. I might unvote, but a vote that's not at least somewhat dangerous is worth hardly anything.) |

Shouldn't the title go "Day 1" now? This should either be up to date, or removed. In any case, my 20-sided die favored TANSTAAFL, so:

Anybody with a 15-sided die around? Until only 12 of us are left, it would save me the re-rolls . Of course, I suppose I could always try to figure who the venomous vipers are, but what fun is that? |

Time of the last poster is 2:09. The number of minutes from midnight to 2:09 is 849. Divide by the number of potential votees (15) and you get 56 with a remainder of 9. Using only the remainder, time to count down the list.
The ninth on the list (remembering to skip myself) is Quercitron.
By the time all this is done, there will probably be another post.

Groza, The Accountant should have it in for you for this random method, as he has twice the chance of being selected . It would have been better if you had removed yourself before the division. Oh, and not every number of possible votes can be a multiple of 1440 (minutes in a day), so the first people on the list have their chances somewhat increased. Nitpicking further, what happens if the division is perfect? Does The Accountant take the fall again?
Or is it that you had thought of all this but deviously selected to divide by 15 rather than 13, in order to justify repeated votes against The Accountant later on by claiming you "just figured out" your random number generator is skewed? |

After unearthing this Machiavellian machination, I shall be forced to change my vote to Groza unless he can prove that his generator is impartial, so he wasn't trying to spread the use of a mechanism for kicking the first players on the list out. I'm holding on for Groza's argument first though. (Hey, maybe I should've picked The Lawyer as a username ) |

Fair enough. No real malice apparent.
Originally posted by quercitron: OMGYS Vote: groza Especially for using a random vote to bandwagon. Come on people, really.
I can't hold the OMGYS against you, I suppose. But "especially for using a random vote to bandwagon?" I explained every detail of my system. If I just said "RNG," that could be faked. But unless you can prove I deliberately screwed up my math, you've got nothing! In fact, I didn't even REALIZE I was the second person to vote for you until PP put up the vote count. Since my vote can be proven to be random, you can hardly use it as an argument against me. FOS: quercitron
Originally posted by Ameb: Time to Bandwagon. Vote: Groza. May as well force a role claim out of someone....
And since it's time to bandwagon, naturally we have to choose the person who described his voting system TO THE LETTER instead of someone like Termital, who claims to have rolled a twenty-sided die, which, as I have said before, could have been faked. (Note: I'm not saying Termital is guilty, or even suspicious, just that it's ridiculous to single me out when you know exactly why I voted for who I did.) For that, you get FOSsed as well.
OK, this post would be far too long if I quoted everything Termital said wrong. First, I DID take myself out (17 people on the list minus myself and werebear is 15). Learn to count.
Second, it will always divide evenly. One lynch and two night deaths makes it 12 tomorrow, then 9, then 6, then 3. Besides that, I only use this method when I have nothing else to go on, so it's already obsolete.
Third, yes, how underhanded it was of me to increase the probability (which I didn't) of choosing the first name on the list (which I also didn't.) Apparently, such sneakiness is grounds for lynching. I should have been much more candid, like when Crackerjack said, "I'm going to vote for the last person on the list." I'm definitely to blame for that one.
For now, I shall continue to vote: quercitron for bringing this plague upon me. |

I could do an OMGUS vote on Sparhawk, but couldn't be stuffed, what purpose would it serve? Interesting reason: not knowing my playing style. Surely you might keep me alive to see how I play, but thats your choice.
Vote: Groza528 if you want to get a decent answer, you should at least leave yourself in the equation, unless you want to skew the results!

Accountant, would you expect him to vote for himself if the random number came up that way? I wouldn't. It makes more sense to take himself out than to leave himself in (if he gets himself, what does he do? Go to the next player down on the list? Then the next player down is twice as likely to get chosen than anyone else). I don't like the logic used in this bandwagon, but at least it's getting people talking. |

First day bandwagons are never based on logic. Picking on someone who either 1) was creative enough to find a laughable way to randomly generate a number, or 2) was having an innocent joke is JUST AS VALID as starting a bandwagon because someone hasn't posted, or has posted, or because they posted to say they aren't posting...
Groza? Any word on a role?
