For the past few days, some of the workers at Isengard have felt an odd sense of dread. Others have ignored that feeling. After all, Isengard is far enough from the action that nothing interesting will happen here, right?
Night 1:
Alive:
amb
Beartalon
casinopete
Dragon Phoenix
Gaspode
MatthewV
mikegoo
Planky
Polotet
Porro
quercitron
Sparticus
Please confirm in the thread or by email. Deadline for night choices is 72 hours from this posting. |

| For those who are attempting to analyze roles, this game is based more on the movies than on the books (which I have unfortunately not reread recently, and for which Macros will no doubt try to kill me in every game where he gets a killing role, and lynch me in every other game). |

Btw, ralphmerridew, Macros can't kill you, he's fallen off the face of the earth (see LotR 2).

| I am aware of Macros's disappearance; I decided to run this game as a fill-in while LOTR has stalled. I should have added "when he gets back" to that comment. |

The worries of some workers are abruptly justified one cold morning when Planky fails to appear in the morning. A search soon finds his broken and battered corpse. Only one clue to his assailant is at the scene of the crime; there is one fairly clear footprint in the dirt amidst the struggle, which appears to be a hobbit footprint. Has the Fellowship breached Isengard's defenses?
You stop to look at the others closely. Who can you trust?
Alive:
amb
Beartalon
casinopete
Dragon Phoenix
Gaspode
MatthewV
mikegoo
Polotet
Porro
quercitron
Sparticus
Dead:
Planky - Orc (Townie), killed by the Fellowship
There are 11 people alive; it will take 6 votes to lynch. If nobody has reached majority by deadline, then whoever has a majority of votes cast will be lynched. If nobody has a majority of votes cast, there will be no lynch.
No deadline at present.

It really seems rather unsportsmanlike to off the newbie on the first night.
I really hope this doesn't become some sort of trend - seeing as how I seem to be the only other newbie in the game.

Morons. Don't you know it's bad to lynch a cop on day 1
And I know that one of you voting me is loyal to Isengard.
~Why does this always happen when i'm a cop. I only ever get forced into day 1 role claim when I'm a cop. Bah, at least the doc(s) know who to protect~
Do you guys want me to reveal the townie I found? |

| unvote: porro...vote: DP same reasoning as Mathew...we have to lynch someone and might as well go on the vote of a possible cop who might know who an innocent is ...possibly. Well it's better than nothing... |

Playing devil's advocate is always good to make me seem "bad" but I just have to dig at this rotten logic.
Porro said he found a "townie". He couldn't also know Dragon Phoenix was not town unless he gets multiple investigations. If his claim is true, and he gets only one vote, his vote is random and no stock can be put into it yet. I'm not saying he's not truthful, but it's not enough for me to vote against DP. If he is a cop with gets multiple choices, then why not just accuse Dragon Phoenix outright? |

I think the idea is that DP has a slightly higher chance of being guilty, since Porro supposedly has one confirmed innocent. However, that makes everybody else have a slightly higher chance of being guilty.
Time to roll that trusty d9.
