In DSII, TCM recruits me from being an SK to pro-town. Then, Persona gives me back my abilities, but I still want the town to win. TCM tries to recruit Mgm and tells me about it. What do I do? I forget he says that and infect Mgm hence killing TCM.

I guess this makes me and TCM even for TT Mafia.

mith and amb were the last two remaining players in Blighy Mafia.
The night before amb killed his fellow scum Pooky and me because I figured hiding with Pooky would avoid having both of them kill a townie and have a mafia draw (I didn't know they were on the same team.

Mith had claimed hider too and already stated he couldn't hide on two nights in a row. Instead of trying to kill mith, amb agreed to a draw...

This probably doesn't belong here, but I don't know where else to put it...

1st game modded: Outbreak Mafia, 4 game days and nights, 202 total posts including after-game thoughts and complaints
2nd game modded: Peanuts Mafia, 1 game day only, no night yet, 416 posts!! Shocked

That's more than doubled in a single day vs. a whole game! I would like to credit the theme in this case, not the mod. I ain't that good. (yet!)

Longest Newbie Game on Mafiascum to date

lol, can you say "mafia that knows how to stall"?

Shortest Day 2 in MS history

I love perfect games, especially when it's my first game on mafiascum ^_^

Fritzler claimed Doc in Random Lynch # Mafia.

After someone claimed cop and said Fritzler was scum, hilarity ensued.
Start here, it goes on for a little while before you'll get his full claim.

Forgot to include this one:

It is the final days in Peanuts Mafia. It is down to Logain, a daytime SK, Mgm, a good guy dodger, Poker, a jr doc and Foggy, a cop. The day before the final one, I ask Logain to put in his night choice. His ability for the day would have been to destroy a person's power. He chooses not to use his ability for whatever reason. Afterwards, Foggy investigates Mgm to confirm his innocence and Logain gets lynched hence never giving him a chance to delay a cop's choice who was picking between Logain and Mgm.

This is one I observed in real life (they were playing the werewolf style, but I'll translate the terms). It's the last day of the game, the remaining mafia has just taken out the cop, so it's him against two townies (one male, one female). The mafioso notes that the cop had been arguing hard to keep the girl alive the previous day, repeating "The cop trusted her"... and casts his vote to lynch her! I (and it turns out, several other observers) could barely restrain ourselves from cracking up at that blunder. As one of my fellow kibitzers pointed out in the post-mortem, "all he had to do was point to the guy and he would have won." Ah, the wonders of sleep deprivation....

I think its about time this thread was resurrected. When I first came here, it was a source of much mirth, and a lot of games have finished since the last post.

Day 1 in the game I modded, Gossip Mafia, had a couple of humourous situations. First, Livingod put pressure on Lucresia, putting a vote on, presenting arguments and joining a wagon. What he forgot was that Lucresia was his mason partner! Laughing

Towards the end of Day 1, the wagon on raekuul was building until it reached lynch -1. And who should provide the hammer? Why, none other than MNOWAX, despite the fact that HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE GAME!!! Laughing

So me and some other people were in ScumChat playing Momir. (For those of you who aren't IRC-inclined, Momir is a split role/alignment game in which each player can choose each night to "selfmutate," changing its role into something new at random. Serial killers do not automatically start with kills, and have to mutate into a role that has one.) I was a serial killer.

When the game was down to three players, I completely forgot that Skruffs had already claimed one-shot death immune (lynches, nightkills, anything) and speedlynched him the instant PBuG voted him. I did not have a kill yet.

The next day, PBuG voted Skruffs again.

Just read through the "Courk kills Ant" mafia again, I totally forgot about that.

If you'll notice, I orrigonally thought it was over before the second day. As I recall, I was pretty close to just saying they won. After all, all they had to do was stick together and nothing bad could happen. I just kept waiting for it to completely deadlock, but it never did. People kept switching around, and I had to let it go on. Then, Courk switched...and for a moment I was totally shocked. I know in the text it looks seemless, but I remember sitting there for a few moments thinking, "Did she just do that?"

Good times...Back when I still liked mafia.

I was waiting to post about Green Crayons commiting suicide. For those not in the game, GC was a serial killer. We also had someone who could resurrect somebody who'd been killed that block. To avoid suspicion for being the serial killer, GC killed himself, trusting that the resurrector would bring him back. It all worked out except for that last part; the resurrector didn't try to bring him back (and would have had a reduced chance of doing so if he had; only the first use was guaranteed).

Theo definately was amusing and made the game more enjoyable. I was almost sorry that we had to lynch him. Twice (we're still waiting for the explanation as to why the second lynch was necessary, since even the scum don't seem to know).

This thread needs the occasional bump. Therefore, a tale from Homer Mafia, a game with many bloopers.

MNOWAX was a cop. There was also a serial killer, Sniklac16, who had the ability to spread gossip; each day he could have the mod tell us that we heard a rumor than somebody was innocent or guilty. MNOWAX didn't realize that, in a day start game, he wouldn't get an investigation N0, so he sent one in, investigating Amb. Sniklac16, coincidentally, decided to spread a rumor that Amb was guilty.
This lead to MNOWAX assuming that he was getting his cop results in the form of rumors and, when it looked like Amb might not get lynched, claiming cop and claiming that the rumor was a guilty investigation on Amb. This lead to Amb, the town's roleblocker, getting lynched very quickly.

Later, the serial killer (now raekuul, having replaced Sniklac16 due to an unfortunate situation) claimed to be a miller vigilante when there was already a dead vigilante. Add that to the fact that he claimed his actual role name (Mr. X, the name Homer took when he was spreading gossip in one show); as soon as we realized that he had to be the source of the gossip ability, he was quickly lynched.

Perhaps if you only verified part of the claim- only name claims in a game where names don't automatically give away allegience, or only role names in a game where mafia can have docs and cops too.

That was so funny. I looked back on the rules day one and i saw that i didn't have an investigation, however when the gossip came up, i thought he just figured that he would just give pro-town people something. I thought "Hey that was pretty cool of him to toss my investigation out there!" Then the next night, i investigated someone else, and a thrid person came up as scum, and i got someone else as innocent. I knew i was screwed the next day.
