Yes 5-26-03 is on a Monday. Memorial day for those in the states. I am half tempted to vote for BK but because a deadline has been imposed I shall wait for a response. If, however, a resoponse is not achieved I shall lay my vote for the most suspicious at that moment. Mind you, my suspicion may be different from others.

Mod, what happens at deadline? Does majority at that point rule or will it be another no lynch?

If the majority are not voting, then there will be a no lynch. If more than half the people are voting for someone, the person wiht the most votes will be rest peacefully in a blender. Requests for an extended deadline are welcome.

And it's been quite a long time.

My investigation results are a number, between zero and four.
It is the mod who throws the coins, and gives me the (possibly adjusted) result.

For an innocent I expect 1.5 on average.
For mafia I expect 2.5 on average.

Let me begin this overview with the following disclaimer. I have no investigative ability. BK has the only known investigative ability, Max has claimed homeless person.

Let me start with BK first.

You begin the game by voting for BigO. You had reason for this :makes no sense. You then voted for me because? None of this independently stands out as scummy. It was when you Questioned the role claim of BigO that you pretty much cleared yourself for me. It is my opinion that you would not have intentionally brought attention to another member of the mafia family if you were part of that family, and being only two members. I make the assumption of two members because there can only be one left if the game is still progressing. You eluded to your role by asking about who received papers the night before and then came out with your role and your plan to trump the scum when they came with mis-information. Not to mention that you were the first on the BigO lynch yesterday. You therefore are the least suspicious at this point.

Secondly MadMax.

You randomly voted day one for Tany. You then followed my silence vote for DB. You then voted for BigO as he was the most random. You questioned his role sheepishly following BK. You voted for me as no other option. Then voted for Veg. When the announcement of the death of DB you then scream We will avenge you. All of this does not make you suspect per se. But when you grouped DB BK KP and BigO roles together along with your self it begins to look shady. You claim that you have a % chance at something. You claim that you are a homeless person. You also during that same claim say what you have found on night 2 may help the mafia perfect their lies. You also take the time to FOS sparty tans veg and leo. Notice to all that all these players are dead now and have been confirmed as innocents. You then vote for Leo, leo comes out as a cop. You quickly unvote leo and ask for doc protection from Dr./Mafia. You then move on to vote for Sparticus and BigO quickly finishes him off. Notice that he was on your list and innocent. Then a later attempt in grouping whom you thought were innocent, based on the fact that they were similarly worded. You also suggested voting on instinct at that point.

In summary I would FOS MadMax at this point as I find his grouping early on very suspicious with those who coincidentally remained alive in the late game. I also find the attempts to confuse the town by making a claim that too closely resembles my original claim, as suspicious. If I were at this point going to levy a vote for the most suspicious Max would be at the top of my list.

When the cop declares his findings most probably be would be lynched.
So the best way to protect his partner is to FOS or vote for the Mafia and 1 innocent.

Speaking as MadMax now.
I am a lost soul, A homeless man with nothing left to lose. During the night, I have two
choices: seek shelter or to walk around. There is always a percentage chance I will be the targhet of the Mafia as I do not seek shelter at night.
KINGPIN your and my role are very similar, as was Tas's DarkBlade Spart.
All the roles have a choice work or don't, sleep or don't. I 1st thought the role similarities was a clue. It is but a Red-Herring though.

I originally voted 4 Tan when she voted for me and unvoted her when she unvoted me. I then revoted 4 her having missed her waitress claim--then unvoted her with apologies.
UPON Spart's role claim I supected he was innocent and hoped Tas would back his claim.
Unfortunately Tas did not post and Spart was lynched.
I WAS suspicious of the vague DOC claim but will not vote to lynch a doc without good reason. (I thought BigO might be the DOC he claimed because of "the percentage chance to protect"--I was wrong.)
UPON Leo.s cop claim I waited patiently 4 his info--then voted using it(BogO)

I WAS not sure wether veg was innocent or Mafia til his Murder /suicide.
I entered his open door the night of his death looking 4 food,
saw the fake suicide note(and his dead body)--left fearing the Mafia might see me or cops suspect I was involved in his death.
The night of Dblade's death I saw a 2nd similar black car enter his garage.
I was hoping someone else would claim to be a cabbie as well. That would have made me suspicious of them.

If you beleive I am not Mafia and BigO put suspicion on me think on this as a plan.
There are 3 of us left. I know from info gathered last night which of you is Mafia.
The innocent of you 2 vote 4 the other as will I.

You are claiming to know who the last mafia is, yet you do not reveal this person? You also claim that BigO probably fingered his mafia buddy by FOS'ing them yesterday. What you do not realize is that your suggestion can be reversed. BigO really never made much sense when he was playing the game. It would be foolish to think that your suggestion is the only likely view to be the truth.

Let's look at this from your point of view. You group all the roles that are living into being "similar". Coincidentally all those roles survived until the end game. BigO says I am leaning towards KP and BK, but fingers BK at the end of that post. He draws all attention away from you.

Your suggestion that any of us levy a vote for anyone else, without hearing your evidence against that person is udderly ridiculous. In-fact the mere mentioning of this only narrows my suspicion. In essence I am asking for your results. And no I will not vote until I here from everyone.

BK, you have sat and listened to both of us, how do you view this?

It would be inadvisable to openly protect known Mafia partners.
When I thought that BigO's claim might be true ( due to the percentage chance
of protection ) I stated so. He was in no danger of being lynched once he claimed DOC, and did not need protection.

If anything I made the mistake of speaking my suspicions, which turned out to be false. I will remember to be less vocal in the future til I have evidence.

Well, no real need to post my reactions now. Obvious who I'm voting for. You made a mistake MadMax, I was unsure who was the Mafia until you accused me.

KingPin, I think it is fairly obvious I am innocent. Points in my favor:

1. I was the second to claim an "ambiguous" role. That would have been a very risky move for a Mafia member, so early in the game, especially as I was basically accusing BigORamo at that point along with it.

2. I voted for BigORamo in my first post yesterday. I had no way of knowing what results Leonidas might have, and so it would have made more sense at that point as Mafia to wait and try to get an innocent lynched (as that would give the game for the Mafia). Instead I voted on my suspicion that his role did not fit with the rest of the roles in the game.

Points against MadMax:

1. "The seemingly strange nature of claims by darkBlade Black Knight KingPin and BigOramo are not so strange. My role is stated in a similar fashion."

At this point, 3 of us had claimed similar roles, while BigORamo's was pretty different. MadMax not only tries to lump herself with the innocents, but also tries to stick BigORamo in there as well.

2. As the game progresses, she continues to push the idea that certain people are pretty much confirmed innocent; except, of course, these people are the three left today, and one must be lying. As she was the last of us to claim this type of role, she is the most suspicious.

3. This is somewhat speculation on my part, and you have no way of confirming this, KingPin, but I think the reason she went after me instead of you was that I delivered a paper to Leonidas (and to you as well, you were not home, of course); perhaps she saw me there and worried I might know something, especially as you had given her the FOS and I had not said much yet.

She's played it very well up til today, and in fact had me fairly convinced that she was innocent a few days ago, but now she has made her slip, and it is up to KingPin to make the right decision.

That is simply a lie. It has worked quite well for you, hasn't it? Yesterday it was down to 2 Mafia and 3 innocents, with you keeping BigORamo alive by jumping around on the other players. Had Leonidas not had the information he had, the two of you might have gotten me lynched and won.

Doing *anything* in a Mafia game is never completely inadvisable. You don't want to protect your partners because people might suspect you... but then people will realize this and vote for people who are protecting innocents... so the Mafia realizes that and protects Mafia... so on and so on, and endless cycle of Meta-game goodness. As I said, this worked for you, so don't be completely foolish and claim that no experienced played would do that.
