Lets use logic here.

Jadesmar votes Darkblade, and says he must conform or perish. However, to conform to what Jadesmar says, he'd have to vote himself, and would most likely be bandwagoned, and 2+2=4, so therefore, Jadesmar must be scum.

vote Jadesmar

Actually Planky, in first day voting, it is my style. Simply a weak attempt at humor rather than RNG in picking a first-day votee(See my vote for Improbable in Pearls of Lutra -- that was equally bad).

Just because jadesmar asked Darkblade to conform doesn't mean that jadesmar is evil. There are a few possibilities here.

I. Jadesmar has the ability to force one person to vote for him or herself.

II. Jadesmar can control one person's vote per day, but jade must vote for that person first.

III. The "you" doesn't apply solely to darkblade. Jade could be telling us to conform and join in voting for darkblade. A couple of possibilities with this one.
. . . . .A. Jadesmar is a cop and got Darkblade as guilty last night. This, too, has a few circumstances.
. . . . . . . . . .1. Darkblade is evil
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .a. Jadesmar is sane
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .b. jadesmar is paranoid
. . . . . . . . . .2. Darkblade is innocent
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .a. Jadesmar is insane
. . . . .B. Jadesmar is mafia (possibly GF?)
. . . . . . . . . .1. Jadesmar has a mafia cop
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .a. The mafia cop received a "guilty" reply.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .i.that cop is sane and Darkblade is evil
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .ii. that cop is paranoid
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I. Darkblade is innocent ("oops, insane")
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .II. Darkblade is guilty anyway.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .b. The mafia cop received an "innocent" reply
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .i. The cop is sane and Darkblade is innocent, yet jade is going for "oops, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I'm an insane cop..."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .ii. The cop is naive
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .I. Darkblade is guilty, ruining jadesmar's "oops, insane" plan
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .II. Darkblade is innocent anyway, and jadesmar can proceed with . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ."oops, insane"
. . . . . . . . . .2. Jadesmar is turning in one of his own in order to look more innocent.
. . . . .C. Jadesmar is like the priest from designer 1 (IIRC)
. . . . .D. Darkblade spilled his role to jadesmar, and jadesmar decided that it'd be best if Darkblade
. . . . . . . . . . .was dead.
. . . . .E. Jadesmar was trying to add some flavor to a random post.
----
Oh, the possibilities

No vote yet, as there's still plenty of people who haven't posted.

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas about what the letter 'T' engraved on Polotet's hand might mean?

Let me throw an interesting wrench into this:
  • Polotet died with the letter T carved into his hand.
  • There are only two "T" players: Trevize and The Levite.
  • I've received a note, with letters in varying case which says that Trevize is evil and is the mafia GodFather.
  • There's more, but that information can be saved for another time
  • I don't know how true this is, but it certainly fits the only death for Night One

Yes, this probably sets me up for death tonight, so if there's a doctor in the house, I might need protection. In the meantime, it's the best circumstantial evidence we have to lynch someone and see if this note is true. And if it is, we got ourselves a dead GodFather.

Vote: Trevize

Does anyone remember the first Designer Mafia? Beartalon used the same exact argument to get people lynched while he himself was the Godfather Mafia. I just thought I'd throw that in...

I'm not going to vote him for now..

And just like Chiromancer said, if someone came up with that role, we'd like to know

good point, actually.
anyone wanna claim a role they wrote?

(not unvoting, because i certainly don't see a point for coming out now unless he actually got the paper- unless his role was to find a certain person and get them lynched (i'm pretty sure that was someone's objective in verbose mafia) but for now, i'm sticking with it, but if i don't see a role claim then i'll get off this bandwagon)

-SK

p.s. if that made no sense, i'd attribute it to the fact that i wanted to be asleep about 2 hours ago (oh, so sleepy)
p.p.s. If it made perfect sense, however, congratulate me, because that's a first

Hi, I'm not in the game, but I have news for you...

Trevize is at home sick, and the internet is not working. He asks for 24 hours to give a defense, to give him time to get back to work or get his internet working again.

And to think somebody wrote an entire outline based upon a joke I made about a typo... Anyways, I'm not going to vote until Trevise's defense, however until then, I have somecomments to make. First, the letter "T" being carved doesn't nessesarily mean anything,it could be just the nature of the role. Also, I don't think an alleged mafia godfather would carve T's on people's hands. The main concern is the note Beartalon allegedly recieved. This could be from a illiterate priest type role, or their could be a framer that worksfor the mafia and that sends people false notes. As for that "other information", you should go ahead and share it, if you weren't bluffing that is. If you are telling the truth then you already are a target, and if your "other information" turns out to be true, someone will probably protect you (assuming, of course, there are doc-like roles).

Darkblade, The only other bit was that it seemed to come from within the mafia itself. So, once again, if it's true, the mafia can look for it's own traitor.

And if the information roles in this game are anything like the last, you can be assured that far more information will be hidden by other players for their benefit or not.

I too will wait for Trevise, since it really sucks to be lynched without being given any chance of a defence. Common courtesy, if nothing else.

Getting even a small chance of lynching a Godfather on the first go has to be followed up though - I can't imagine what defence might get him off.

I'm inclined to cautiously believe Beartalon, if only because it would be intelligent play to 'out' a Godfather and gamble on a doctor being available, as opposed to the dumb move of making an accusation without basis - and Beartalon's not dumb.

*eagerly awaits Trevise's defence*

First of all: I wrote the role. Actually, the role I wrote was exactly the same as the illiterate priest in Designer I; I just didn't call it illiterate priest. (I didn't know it had been used before when I wrote it, but amb didn't mind.) The person with this role would choose someone to investigate and someone to send the investigation result to, but would not receive the result themselves.

The only thing that throws me off is that the note supposedly came from within the mafia. I didn't intend this to be an evil role, but maybe amb didn't have enough of them and changed it a bit.

FOS: Trevize until he gets back. But I agree with Darkblade that the "T" might not be there because the killer had a name that starts with "T". I doubt that the mod would give us such an obvious clue. But it's very possible that Trevize is the GF and has nothing to do with the death of Polotet.

And suddenly somewhere someone opened the mafia bible and it said
"And Amb said let there be a voting tally. And there was a voting tally. Darkblade whom I created was given none votes. Jadesmar was given two votes, and 1 of them was to be known as the holy OMGUS. Leonidas was also given one votes. Chiromancer whom I created was also given one votes. Trevize was donated not one vote but a pair of ones known as elevenses unlike his lesser voted peers. Mackay once registered one vote. Number two once rated two votes, but in mercy was dropped to one or less. And then Amb looked and saw that it was good, and he proceeded to steal a whole lot of ribs and make beautiful women with them"

It was noted that the mafia bible was translated from a language originating from ancient UBBscript and thus may not have translated at all well. Maybe when it says one it means two. Maybe some verses are factually incorrect. Maybe some vital facts have gone assunder.

It is now noon. The peak of the day is past. A time limit will be established at a yet later date or on request in the thread. But for now you may remain arguing. Have fun.

Amb
