Bad news: bluehost has suspended us again because we're hitting the server too hard.

The not so bad news: It is likely just a result of them being crap and us needing to move to a better host, and having just sent my thesis to my supervisors last night for a final review before I submit, I will have some free time this week to move us. Hopefully, we'll be back up and running before too long.

(Copied from scumchat) quick update: i think i have decided on a (VPS) host... planning to set up an account there this afternoon along with something basic so that the users can communicate while jeep and I get everything moved. it may take a day or two to move things, just because of the size of the database, but we shouldn't be down long

(It will also take some time for the DNS to propagate when we transfer the domain, but the forum should be active before that.)

Oh, I'm probably a little late to the party, but I'll post this anyway.

I'd suggest www.dreamhost.com, they're having a sale with 70% for the next 2 years on unlimited bandwidth and disk space for the life of the contract.

I also recommend http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=17649719 as a great host. It's what I use for my websites, and they're pretty much one of the best hosts out there (probably the third largest hosting company in the world, after GoDaddy and someone else). I posted a referral link because then they would pay me a commission for getting them a contract, which I would be willing to donate back to paying for the site once I receive it (I think it's like 60 days after purchase).
