Update on Mafia on the Orient Express:
No one has volunteered to look at my role layout yet. Volunteers or not, I will host this Mafia game. But not yet. I have a different game in mind with a layout that I believe is original (I could be wrong...), and is probably more balanced than MotOE (I definitely could be wrong there!), that I will post shortly.
Name: Mario Mafia
Players: 20
Background: Bowser and his cronies are raiding the Mushroom Kingdom, and a grand battle was about to start, but Kamek the Magikoopa has shown up randomly and turned everyone into Goombas! And he won't turn them back until one side or the other has won in battle! Can Mario, Peach, and the others find each other and eliminate the evil Koopa Kingdom Mafia before it's too late?
Status: About to post sign-up thread
I searched through both here and Mafiascum, and I couldn't find any Mario Mafia like this. There was a Newbie game on Mafia Scum, as well as a Super Smash Bros. game, but not this. If anyone knows of any Mario Mafia game, please let me know so I can look over it and make sure mine is different. _________________ I'm with me. |

Once I have time on my hands again (may be in the New Year, may wait till I hit the States), I will be attempting to run Libertarian Mafia.
Of course, no libertarian society would be complete without all of its citizens armed to the teeth and willing (perhaps even a little eager) to protect their property. Of course it will not be quite that easy, but... we'll see.
Players: 24
Starts: Sometime next year. |

Monopoly Mafia
Mod: Jedo
Players: ~20
I've been working on this really hard along with a special counselor. It's looking like it will end up being what I expected it to be (and more), but it will be a very involved game. Those who sign up will need plenty of time to devote to participation. There might be exceptions, but they will require careful consideration.
Sign-ups will begin sometime in the near future. It is almost all planned and such, but there are just too many games running at the moment. Just keep a lookout for the thread. |

Mafia on the Orient Express will begin some time after Clue Mafia ends. (Or Mario Mafia, if the Town or Mafia there are so pathetic they lose that quickly, but I doubt that'll happen.) If anyone wishes to check my set-up before the game commences, would you mind sending me a PM?
In the meantime, I've been looking at past games here and at Mafiascum, and I was intrigued by the Groza Classic setup. (3 Mafia, 2 Sane Cops, 2 Insane Cops, 2 Paranoid Cops, 2 Naive Cops, 1 Retired Cop, in case you don't know.) I would be interested, sometime in the near future, in either playing in or hosting such a game.
One final note. I have a concept idea for a potential Mafia game which I'd rather not post here. Instead, I would prefer it if either I keep it to myself until the time comes or tell someone and see if we could co-host the game. Or something like that. If you're interested for some reason, could you PM me? _________________ I'm with me. |

Is there a queue for games to begin? For example, I've got a Final Fantasy VII themed game almost ready for play (would like someone to look over everything to check for balance issues I may have missed), but I dunno if I have to wait my turn, per se. Or do I just post a signup thread once I'm ready to go? Please educate me on the GL forum etiquette for these matters. |

I'm completely torn between helping you balance the game or signing up. How many players are you planning on running? You'll have more interest in a smaller game, methinks. _________________ WIFOM.net: Help my Mafia site grow!

*will help with the balancing*
I wouldn't have time to play in it (nor do I know much about FF), so this way a player isn't lost.
And you can just post the sign up when you're ready. |

Small Mafia Games needed? No problem!
Handpuppet Mafia
Players: 6 to 8, depending on interest.
Each player is a ventriloquist with two handpuppets, each of which is a shill account for their player. The result is an 18-24 role game with only 6-8 actual players to keep track of!
Sound cool? _________________ smile |

sounds interesting, but it would be much easier if we had login like the old boards. the way it is now, logging out, logging in, then logging back out and logging in again, while making sure the right sn gets the "remember me" box checked. people are lazy and don't want to do all that work _________________ Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

Homework has doomed me. If it weren't graded, I'd play, but it is so I must spend tedious hours writing out truth tables and matrices and god knows. Work, school, homework. I must quit mafia, I only have time on the weekends and precious little at that. During the week, I have none and it is unfair to both fellow players and mods. I apologize to both for my withdrawal.
[Edit] I can handle one, and DP's is the one that I will play. _________________ And he lived happily ever after. Except for the dieing at the end and the heartbreak in between.

I want to try something that may be a bit crazy.
Pairs Mafia. Everyone is paired with someone else, so a 20 player game would be like a 10 person game. If one part of a pair is lynched, they both die. Both have the same role, and they only have 1 vote. They cannot collaborate in private during the day on who to vote for, all day discussion has to be in the thread. |

Deep South III
Its not set in antarctica anymore. It will throw off the experimentation that lead to the imbalance of DSII. It will capture your imagination. It will be a special theme, but that theme will be revealed in due time. I will possibly be looking for co-mods to handle choices in blocks to best cover the globe as possible. (Possibly me, Courk and MatthewV for example).
Differences:
The game choice blocks will be 2 weeks and not 1.
Choices will be enacted at set times. According to the number of Mods.
The theme will be different to the Antarctica setting of DS1 and DS2. |

Given recent experience, I most likely will not mod a mafia game here anymore - but I am tempted to run a set-up that Rite ran at scum..
DON'T BE STUPID MAFIA
A game with plenty of chance for mod kills. You don't contribute (at least 2 meaningful posts and at least 1 vote per day)? Modkill! You do something stupid? Modkill! |

Well. I hope you'll reconsider modding here at a later date there's other ways to stop people from slacking and I hope you won't stop modding entirely (you can continue at mafiascum).
DBS Mafia sounds cool. I saw it on mafiascum and I was not a happy camper when I found out it was already filled up. |

I'm rather saddened that DP's experience modding Bond mafia has been so frustrating. I enjoyed playing in it, despite being frequently killed, and hope that you'll reconsider your (likely) decision to no longer mod here. While there is nothing that I could have done regarding the replacements and lurkers, I realized (in my reread of day one) that it was disrespectful of me to not check the rules first before asking a question.
On a happier note, I'm very excited about DSIII. _________________ 2500th member give or take 3 |

Upick Mafia
Yeah, stolen from the Great and Mighty AniXer. I used to host a lot of these in chat, and I would come up with some of the most crazy roles to match the character. I think it could be fun. It may start in the near future, though probably after another game finishes or something. (There are some very near to the end, methinks.) |

| I have this idea for a halo-themed game with 20 people. Each player will be either humans, SPARTANs, or Covenant Elites with different weapons and vehicles. For example, a SPARTAN with a sniper rifle can play the cop/detective and be able to snipe someone dead at night once during the game. Let me know what you think and maybe I can start a game, thanks. |

What I will probably do is not start any games until everyone comes back from End of the Year vacations. Then at least chocolate and Zombie mafia will go out.
That will be followed by the long awaited Teeth Mafia and hopefully, if Courk and I can get our act together, Manatee mafia. |
ok, so Teeth Mafia came out sooner. Bah!
I've decided to announce that Chocolate Mafia will be started as soon as Teeth Mafia ends. There's a lot of games right now even though WWII just ended and it looks like Mario Mafia will end very soon. *crosses fingers* Don't think FFMafia will ever get going and it looks like Wikipedia Mafia is going to die slowly. Pooky Mafia got a heart attack or something. That leaves:
Handpuppet Mafia: 6 puppets left...
Teeth Mafia: Day 2 only
Emotican Mafia: Just started
The Far South: Choice Block 2
Literary Mafia: Day 2 only as well
Monopoly Mafia: Day 2 again
Texas Justice Mafia: Still waiting to begin...
I'm tempted to start signups when Handpuppet ends, but we'll see how it goes. Anywho:
Game: Chocolate Mafia
Status: Tweaking
Mod: Ctorj
# of players: 12-14 players
Starting: Sometime after the next mafia game ends...

My next game will be Mafia on the Orient Express, a 16-player game that has an interesting setup, to say the least. I'm not sure how well-balanced it is, though. If there's anyone who would like to take a look at it (and obviously then not play it) before I start it, could you send me a PM? Mafia on the Orient Express will begin in one week's time, unless I think there are too many Mafia games going on at that time. Or unless events cause me to miss the deadline. It's a very real possibility that I might not get it up until next Sunday.

I've got one game finished and another that I'm working on.
1.) Snakes On A Plane Mafia. This is a 20-man game about the worst movie ever. Hilarity will ensue.
2.) Battle Royale Mafia. A 27-man game that I'm working on right now, based on the book/movie/manga by Koushun Takami. Lots of violence, lots of power roles. Possibly a nightless/Deep South setup.
I was planning on running this on MS or MTGS but I may run them here. I can't run it on MS until TJ2 finishes. _________________ WIFOM.net: Help my Mafia site grow!
