| Be careful about the information you reveal about the game in this thread and in the first few lines of the sign up and game threads. Some countries won't get their translations for a few months yet. |

Game: Monopoly Mafia
Mod: Jedo
Players: 16-20 (too hard to nail down just yet)
Status: R & D (deciding on roles and logistics)
Starting: When it's ready, alright!
Twist: I'm not sure what the special twist will be just yet, but it could involve the board or something along those lines. I want it to create more strategy on the players' part besides the regular mafia meta-gaming. |

One theme that I will definitely run later this year is Feline Follies, the cat-variation on my current Canine Capers.
I'm also severly tempted to have a themed game around a famous sitcom like Friends (a mini was run at scum), Cheers or Sex and the City. |

Okay, I have an idea for a themed mafia, but could use a more experienced mod' perusal of the concept
Game: Smurf Mafia
Mod: Foggy
Players: 12-20
Starts When: After I finished participating in Willy Wonka, Outbreak, and Deep South II.
For years, life has been quiet in the Smurf village. Days of foraging for Smurfberries, avoiding Gargamel and Azrael, and nights of campfires and singing. It's a life of peace and tranquility, until...
On their most recent visit, Jonathan and Pewitt left behind copies of Godfather and Goodfellas. And now the idea of a mafia has taken hold. Rumors and whispers abound about the posibilities of a mafia forming up among the mushrooms. Worse, the violence of the movies may have corrupted one fragile-minded Smurf. Could someone snap, and become a Serial Killer? And what of Gargamel? His usually monthly failed attempt at capturing and eating the Smurfs never came materialized. Has he disappeared, or is he planning some sinister scheme. The suspense is overwhelming. When Sassette turned up smurfed, the Smurfs decided to act.
At a village meeting, the Smurfs all agreed that the Mafia must be eliminated, any serial killers must be killed, and the village needs a permanent way to protect against Gargamel. Brainy has opened his library to everyone, and several Smurfs have volunteered to lead expeditions into the dangerous areas around the village.
Notes: Unlike traditional mafia games, this game will have three distinct portions: Morning, Afternoon, and Night.

| Right now, the mafia forum is quite full of games and pending games, but I would like to suggest that someone work up the courage to mod a tournament. Of course, this is assuming we have the resources and the interest. I know I (and I believe Courk) are interested, as well as some others. I think it would be fun, and we could even create the tournament out of some of these new games (i.e. Deep South, Outbreak). In other words, the ones with the revamped setups and the interesting twists. It's just a suggestion, but I think it would be really cool. |

Game: Peanuts Mafia
Status: Finalizing Roles
Mod: Ctorj
# of players: 20 people
Starting: After Outbreak Mafia is over.
What it's about: Of course the Peanuts gang! All the classic characters will return and it'll be interesting how this thing plays out. However, since it is a kiddie comic, instead of "murders" and "lynching", it'll be nicer like "you're in time-out" and "Out of the game". I will make this one mass role-claim proof. Sign-ups begin today! _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

I hate to say this Ctorj, but I have peanuts - Deep South ready to run as a 12 player short game for deep south III, with more normal roles. LOL. I can send you the setup if you want; but it will kinda prevent me playing.
I also wrote one for the smurfs about a year ago but scrapped it due to other commitments and was about to mention to Foggy... |

Amb- That's funny that you will make DS3 about the peanuts gang. I guess Linus would be the only warm one there with his balnket and all. It's your choice if you want to see my set up or not. I would rather you play in the game though, but all the same it's up to you. _________________ "Love is the absolute expression of the human perfection" -Me!

In Progress of design.... I decided to try something different again. It might not work, and my co-modded game with Courk will come first.
Im working on a design to run "Mafia of Catan". It will involve a custom game board, and will be trialled with 12 players to begin with. Those that do sign up would be advised to have a working knowledge of the game.
The following is my initial thoughts:
Settlers of Catan Mafia
--------------------------
Can you battle for resources to build what you need to enhance your chances of winning.
Standard Resources: Ore, Clay, Wheat, Sheep, Wood, Sand
Standard Catan Purchases
------------------------
1 Wood, 1 Clay = Road
1 Clay, 1 Sheep, 1 Wood, 1 Wheat = Settlement
1 Sheep, 1 Ore, 1 Wheat = Development Card
3 Ore 2 Wheat = City
1 Sheep 1 Wood = Boat
SOC Mafia Purchases
------------------------
1 Sand, 1 Wood, Must own 2 cities: Investigation (Sand = Glass)
1 Ore, 1 Wood, 1 Clay: Port. Must be built on an ocean tile. Can be traded. Can be blocked by the theif.
12 Player game. The settlers restriction of settlements being two spaces apart is lifted.
Game works as follows. You are trying to gain resources to build settlements and cities.
During the day you may vote and or trade resources at will. I will roll two 6 sided dice each day to decide what resources you will gain, and will repeat this once for every player still alive. You will then be told what resources you will gain. You play and vote as need be.
There are no cops. No docs. Every player has a color and is represented on the game board on the first post. The mafia are represented by one colour and recieve cards as a group. There will be board tokens controlled by the moderator to allow for false claims.
Resource cards are needed for some moves. Overnight investigations may be purchased. Cities increase the number of resources you recieve.
The thief is playing and may each night block a resource. He can be moved by a Dev Card. Once lynched/killed he is gone.
Longest Road/Largest army rewards should be figured out as well. |

This sounds cool. Theres a lot of things you could do with the board and whatnot. You still planning to do this?
I think that I am not goign to sign up for anymore games anytime soon, so I can free up my Mafia time to take my first shot at modding. I'd like to do it here to, as opposed to over on Scum, or MTGSalvation. I've come to like playing on GL better. |

Game: Teeth Mafia
Status: Writing down ideas
Mod: Ctorj or another as well
# of players: 15?
Starting: After Peanuts Mafia is over.
What it's about: This is not a prank. It's for real. Yes. Teeth. The white things (hopefully not yellow) you have in your mouth. The idea came from a scumchat today and the ideas were so funny and hilarious that I thought it would be pretty funny to do it. Seeing all the time I dedicate to Mafia, I can probably start the game as soon as I finalize it. I will wait at least until Peanuts gets down a little. Remember: Keep brushing to fight the cavities! Here's a suspect list:
