Nice. We've still got lots of leaves to deal with. This was outside my house on Wednesday.

AS far as the leaves issue goes I was out in my yard for two days and now have about 30 lawn bags filled tieh leaves, mind you I have a yard vac thing that mulches the leaves so every one bag would = 5 bags had I not been able to mulch them. When I woke this AM there were still more leaves on the ground. It never ends.

I've now blown leaves off my yard four times. Once, i did it in the evening, and by morning it looked like i hadn't done a thing, what with the nice thick blanket of leaves that had fallen overnight. That wasn't very nice of the wind Melancholy

holy crap!

lol, though. At least that's something. It's been great down here because it's been raining a lot, maybe the drought is finally on its way to being broken.

I saw this special on the telly a couple of weeks ago... just before all the rain started coming, actually... apparently Australia's major cities are running out of water. Sydney only had 100 weeks' worth left, and other major cities were around the 130-week mark. Scary stuff... two years, then no more water.

I'm a tree-hugging hippie and all - but it seems only SENSIBLE to build a new dam up around Cairns, or somewhere in the far North, no? It rains all summer there, and it all runs off into the ocean. Seems a horrible waste when the rest of the country is dehydrating.

Funny you should mention that, I was just reading about rain in Australia.

I don't remember exactly whereabouts in Oz you are, I doubt it's around there but at least it's the right country. And all that stuff doesn't kick in for another month at least. Ok, so it's not really all that relevant. But the photos are cool.

I have every book..Revenge most foul!

It started snowing on Friday here, but no accumulation. Accumulation started yesterday because it snowed pretty damn hard. It's continuing today.

I drove for the first time in snow. Fishtailed and nearly got into an accident. But man, was it fun.

Like an inch of solid ice in our driveway. Fortunately I went out last night around 10 and then midnight when it was still slushy. I hope my neighbours didn't have their windows open.

Although I do have to say the white ground along with the sheer ice coating everything is very picturesque!

as of yesterday, it's freezing here, and the sky raspberries once in a while and the spittle comes down in the form of snow. it's really not even enough to be called flurries most of the time (but sometimes it's more than enough for a few minutes). so it's not really snowing, but it's like 26 during the day.

poopy.

Caltech has snowflakes? I'm highly suspicious. I wanted genuine Akron snowflakes, anyway. The ones made of frozen carbon dioxide.

I have a temp probe monitor that meters min/max until reset.

We had a clipper move in this morning. Today's high, only 4.9 F. At approx 9pm this evening, -15.4
Now I see it's dropped a whole half a point....no! in the time of roughly half a minute it's dropped from -17.5 to -18.4 Fahrenheit.

Akron's colder than Alaska.

We have some sort of digital thermometer doo-hicky. It's original programming had it set to beep everytime the temperature got below freezing. That got annoying real fast.
