I just saw the orrigonal of Ocean's Eleven last night. If the remake is anywhere near as good, this could be a tight match.

Oh, DAMN but this is a tough call...seriously. Two of my mostest favoritest movies. Grarh. I'll have to sleep on it. _________________ "I have an everyday religion that works for me: love yourself first, and everything else falls into line." --Lucille Ball |

I voted MiB simply because of the sweet scene where the newly-transofrmed alien asks for sugar and water.
All the grunting noises he makes are hilarious! |

I went for O11 because of the scene when Danny and Rusty are driving.
R: I'm bored
D: You looked bored
R: I am bored
They barely let each other finish the previous line before starting the next one. I love that. |

That movie had many subtle exchanges that were hilarious.
The dialogue when the Chinese guy is performing, "It doesn't look that diffi...."
"I guess we have a greaseman" Then Rus - "we have a greaseman".
Remember the part where Rusty is telling Linus the rules of conduct and walks away leaving him hanging...
"and whatever you do, don't under any circumstances, never.....", he becomes interrupted, walks away. |

My favorite:
D: That gives us ten. Ten should be enough, don't you think?
R: ...
D: You think we need one more?
R: ...
D: You think we need one more.
R: ...
D: All right, we'll get one more.
R: ::blink::
Yeah, I think that settles it. _________________ "I have an everyday religion that works for me: love yourself first, and everything else falls into line." --Lucille Ball |

| Ocean's Eleven is a testament to the quality that a director gets with experienced actors. The plot may be holier than that piece of burnt toast, the writing somewhat canned, and the delivery at times half-hearted, but watching it is fun. |

| 1500 years ago everybody knew that the earth was the center of the galaxy, 500 years ago everybody knew that the earth was flat, and 15 minutes ago you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Can you immagine what you will know, tomorrow? |

That Men in Black is banal and that Will Smith is a bad actor? _________________ After years of disappointment with get rich quick schemes, I know I'm gonna get rich with this scheme. And quick! |

Men in Black was OK - no comparison to Ocean's Eleven.
Just saw Ocean's Twelve though, and while it had its moments, all in all it royally sucked. The plot stunk. The acting was mediocre, as was the filming. Soundtrack - somewhere between stunk and mediocre. Catherine Zeta-Jones ... OK. Julia Roberts didn't even look like Julia Roberts. |

Yeah, I knew most people would hate it. However, to say the soundtrack is mediocre? It's David Holmes again, and the style is nearly identical to the first one. _________________ After years of disappointment with get rich quick schemes, I know I'm gonna get rich with this scheme. And quick! |

| I saw O12 yesterday. It's not as good as the first one, but I thought it was still pretty good. Spoiler, just in case: I was glad it didn't have an identical plot to the first one. I had assumed they would be robbing a bank or something and would go through their plan in their elaborate way, and then explain everything at the end, as they did the first time. But this time ther was someone they were trying to get back at. They weren't really trying to steal anything (they had the egg most of the time), so it was more like an elaborate practical joke. Make Night Fox think they're floundering, while he goes along with his own plan and thinks he's won. |

| If this was the orrigonal, I'd vote O-11, but MiB is just too funny and cool to vote against. |

| If you haven't seen the remake, then you can't really decide which is cooler or funnier. |

Well, all of the good O11's lines have been taken. However, my favorite scene is when they hoodwink all of those wannabe poker players. The dialogue during that scene just kills me, and they practically rob those guys of $3,000.
On the other hand, I will give credit to MiB. It was very funny, but I liked the second one a little better.
J: 'We're not hosting an inter-galactic kegger here.' You know, Zed, he's just...Whoa! Protectors of the whole galaxy and we drive around in a Ford POS.
It took me a while to figure out POS. |

I find that hard to believe. Would you mind saying why? |

| I don't know. They were both good, IMO, and I like Will Smith. Maybe I just watch the second one more, so it pops into my head as liking it more. I'd have to watch them both again to tell you why. |

| To me it's min-boggling that MIB could come close to Ocean's 11. |
