And the last two movies. I've only seen one of them, but heard good things about Fight Club.

Fight Club, the movie that doesn't make you want to eat your own head out of boredom. And it's good, too.

Just because a movie is a "classic" doesn't always mean it's good. Citizen Kane was good for it's time, but now it's just sorta... not.

Fight Club is awesome. 'nuff said.

A voted Kane. I mean, a movie about people so bored with their lives they have to pick fights?

Plus the whole Rosebud thing is one of the best surpise endings ever.

If it actually gets to be a surprise. That one's too well known. I haven't done any work to find out Kane's ending, but, since it's so famous, it's ruined.

Surprise ending my ass. I'm sorry, but I, who never knew what Citizen Kane was about or ANYTHING, watched the movie and knew what rosebud was before half the movie was over. I mean, they do *everything* but tell you outright.

Surprise endings do not a movie make.

But the surprise ending is only a small part of the movie.

Well, if I understand correctly, you have two arguments for Citizen Kane:
I) It's not Fight Club
II) It has a surprise ending.
IMO neither shows the movie is good Felicitous

Whilst i liked Fight Club, (and it's surprise ending), I thoughroughly enjoyed Kane. Not just for the ending, which I watched unspoiled, and that I think is one of the best endings I've ever seen (Usual Suspects and Arlington Road being the only ones that I've seen better imo).

Even without the ending, and the resolution of what/who 'Rosebud' is, the main biopic of a megalomaniac, approached from various angles and all with a very interesting dimension to them, make it a far better film than the just above-average Fight Club.

Liked them both on first viewing - but on second viewing there's just a little more in Fight Club for me...
