The match of the Jones'. Crusade has had the most success so far, but one could argue it has had easier opponents than Ark.

I'm going to go with...Indiana. He was definitely better in the role than the other guy.

Not everyone sees that. 14 of us (as of now) don't see what they see.

I am discouraged enough by this voting trend to become a negative sourpuss and refuse to vote in any more polls. Evil or Very Mad

That's ridiculous...meh, you and Antrax. This whole thing is not about you getting your way everytime. It's supposed to just be a little fun experiment, and perhaps encourage a little discussion. If you can't see beyond your own narrow view of what "should" win, then I say we don't need you anyway.

(This next part is not directed at you specifically)

If people wanted to see their own choice win every time, then they could simply make their own ranking and forget the whole thing. Who needs comparisons? Why are we even doing this anymore?

(Bah, stupid Rant.)

Don't listen to those blowhards, dethy. I quite enjoy this and it helps me to see what sort of movies others around here like. I have probably made it quite obvious that I like the SW movies and LotRs movies, and I've learned that mathgrant doesn't like movies that much. It's interesting and it shows what different views we have.

Now then, I think Travis* was just mocking Ant when he said that. After all, he is quite a jokester. Wink Try not to let them get to you. In the meantime, I'm about ready to see the winner of this tourney and start the next. Revenge most foul!

It doesn't bother me when the majority prefer a movie I think sucks over one I think is great. It bothers me when the majority votes for something because it's the only one of the pair that they saw, and that because they only see what is mass marketed. Then it's no longer about which movie is better, or more entertaining, but only about what slop was shovelled in the trough in greater volume.

I totally agree with extro. Like I said about this once before, it's WRONG that folk vote for something just because the latter was unknown or boring or basically just something to vote against. Folk should only vote if they have seen the said films in their entirety(sp)(whatever!) not because the fecking dvd sleeve looks shite or it sounded mundane etc.
This is the general downfall on this voting system, folk are so full of marketed biased-ness that they will fall into the mass produced vat of cellulose crap and vote for anything they know, not what they COULD see as a damn good film.

I also agree with extro on Darko.

Feck it! Extro is my spokesman in any future widow twanky ramblings on this subjuct.

Umm... I'd vote for a movie I liked over one that I found boring...

Other than that, I agree with you, and thusly agree with extro. *nudge*

For me it doesn't matter if I had seen the movie or not. I just figured since Quagmire is a cat person and I am a dog person, I should vote for all the movies he doesn't like.

If I don't know how Quagmire feels about the movie we're voting on, I just ask mathgrant if he has seen it on tv. (If the movie is any good, surely he's seen it) This is a much less subjective/more accurate way to judge a movie rather than watching it, plus it saves a lot of time.

If "any good" means "the average GLer would like it", then that's the most false statement ever. I think you just posted that to insult me.
