The Arizona Diamondbacks will be in first place tonight after they complete a three game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Yeah, and Shawn Green will once again be instrumental in Arizona's victory.

I swear that the Kansas City Farm Team Royals are always gonna suck!

Some local announcer here was saying that they were a team built for the future. That they were a solid, young, group of kids that will blossom over the next couple of years. Really?!?! They will be out of here by then! The good ones always leave, Damon, Dye, Beltran.... Whatever, I'm still a fan!

I would. A new GM who knows what he's doing, the best farm system in the majors (with rookies that WILL be good), a good manager in Ned Yost, and they just doubled their salary. I'll be interested in a couple of years.

But this year? Man. Suckage.

Well, the Gigantes are off to a great start. Maybe Barry can rub some "Flax-seed oil" on his knee to make it heal faster.

The Cards are 10 games over .500 and 4 1/2 games in front in the NL Central! Razz And they just took 3 of 4 from the LA Dodgers, who are (were?) leading in the West. Almost Fonz Cool

They could be 146-16 (Not chosen randomly. Cookie to the person who tells me why I chose that specific record), and they'd still suck, though.

Is that allowing for a couple of wins by your favorite Cubs pitcher?

BTW, though I am a long-time Cardinlas fan, I actually have towo favorite teams. The Cardinals and whoever is playing the Cubs.

In the past it was whoever was playing the Mets, and that's not right. No cookie for you.

I usually have 3 favorite teams: My Beloved Cubs, whoever's playing the Hated Cardinals, and whoever's playing the Mets. This weekend, I only have 1 favorite team.

If I were to check my fantasy team ever again, I'd have to do something about Gagne. He's been on my bench since the beginning of the year. He'll remain there.

Since they suck thse last few years, and they're not in the Cards' division, I don't have to root against them. They usually lose anyway.

Mariners beat the Padres 2 out of 3 to win the series tonight. I'll be happy if they finish .500 this year after last year's horrible precipitous decline. I expected them to be better already with Beltre and Sexson. I guess their pitching really is as awful as it was last year. Doesn't help with the Madstrich injury. They'll do better when Pineiro comes back from the minors (worked for Meche last year) and they bring up the phenom Felix Hernandez. In the offseason they'll get pitching and 2006 will be the year of the M's!

Some rookie pitched against the Mariner's today. They brought him up from AAA. I might have seen him if I had actually gone to a Portland Beavers game. I haven't been to a game since Sean Burroughs played for them and he is in his 3rd or 4th season in the majors.

Welcome to the world of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Top 6th, at the Metrodome:
Brady Clark: I think I'll hit a home run to tie the game at one and end Johan Santana's no-hit bid! Yay! Go us!

Top 7th:
Brewers: Yay! Let's take the lead 2-1!

Eventually, top 9th:
Brewers: We have a big enough lead at 5-2. Even with the bases loaded and 1 out, we don't need any insurance runs, so let's just fan at a bunch of baseballs so we can go win.

Bottom 9th:
Derrick Turnbow: I have a 1.5 ERA and 10 saves, so I've got it in the bag. Oh wait! I play for Milwaukee! I think I'll blow the save to a 2 run homer with 2 outs so the game's tied at 5!

Bottom 11th:
Junior Spivey: I think I'll make a fielding error so that we can lose.

We'll finish at .400 this year, I hope.

The Red Sox are three games behind The Orioles in the American League Eastern Division and Baltimore starts a four game series in Boston today. The Red Sox can move into first place by winning all four games.
