If anyone is voting for Harry Potter without having read The Giver, I really really really suggest you read it first. It's not too long, you can likely finish it well within the week. It is a really really really good book. Lois Lowry at her best. _________________ Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like? |

| The Giver doesn't sound like a book I'd enjoy. "With echoes of Brave New World..." I couldn't stand Brave New World. |

| What if you read the giver and found it was a hopelessly horrible unimaginative fantasy book? |

The Giver was good. wordcross is right about that much, but I just could not go against Harry Potter. I suppose I could have gone the other way just to give word some company, but... _________________ Paragon Tally: 18 mafia, 3 SKs (1 twice), 1 cultist, numerous chat scum...and counting. |

Oh... oh... two of my very very favourite children's books.
The Giver was my favourite for years... Prisoner Of Azkaban is merely my favourite HP book. I guess that settles it for me. Plus, I'm scared of HP advancing. |

| Plenty of adults read Harry Potter. It's unfair to classify it as a children's book. Same could probably be said about the giver. |

| I did not find the world creative. I mean, it was kinda creative, but dull to me. |
