Where are the old mafia games?

I've been reading various mafia games on this site, and have seen references to games that I cannot seem to find. The earliest game is Mafia 38. Is it possible to access earlier games?

Hey, I thought those all transfered over from scum or something. Like the GL was started and they started with mafia 38 because the last one on scum was mafia 37. Maybe I just never needed to know.

Reading Mafia 2, I see how far mafia has come as a game, and also that IS has acted the same the beginning. Thanks to all of you who experimented with mafia during its incipience and have made it what it is today.

"Neatest?" I would have thought messiest. Maybe that's what it means, "I can't properly feed myself." Hmmm...

My favorite part about mafia 1 is that at some point we used the logic "So-and-so voted for the mafia, so he must not be scum."

Impressive! I'm currently reading Discworld Mafia 1. I really enjoy reading these old mafia games, do other people read them as well? Then again, I also read threads from a forum that died over four years ago, so it might just be me. Thanks again for finding them.

It's a predecessor to forum.cmc.redleaf.de, of which I'm a member. I have to admit, however, that half of the fun was in reading the various members' fustigations of Trexbaxian Vir/minute man.

Edit: I just finished reading Discworld 1, and it was amazing. Great game to read DP, and amazing plays by Samadhi and Tyenar.

Edit2: just finished reading Russian Mafia. THREE MONTHS!!!! And nice play DP.

Star Wars Mafia was a very intriguing game, with an interesting setup. Unfortunately, it was terribly huge and horribly unbalanced. I only hope that my Star Wars Mafia will be a much better success.

I'm still a bit annoyed about Mafia 2, where when I (as policeman) got it to a position where the town was guaranteed to win, the mod changed someone from the town's side to the mafia's side. Then I was trying not to play quite optimally thinking that if I did, the mod would change things again. Then I was shot because the doctor had stopped playing. Then afterwards, people blamed me for the town losing.

Up until a couple weeks ago, I could find Verbose Mafia by searching on "Verbose Mafia" with the search feature, but it doesn't seem to be there any more. Most of the pages are in one of mith's archives though.

A similar thing happened in D&D mafia. Mith and I were townies (prince and queen) and... there was some sort of special ability. I think something along the lines of immunity for the first time we were targetted. There were also a monster and a dragon. Mith and I were counting on the dragon killing the monster or something, since it appeared we had an immunity, but dethy decided to make it "more fair" and didn't let the dragon have a kill. We would have won, but instead we tied. We had it all worked out, too. ttmd

My favorite thing about Mafia 1 is that no one wanted to post. A whole day went by without anyone posting at all. Someone mentioned that you guys were afraid to be targeted because you posted first. Also, IS was exactly the same then as he is now. The first thing he said was, 'we might as well just lynch someone because people could lie about claims' or something to that extent. I wish I had been here from the beginning.

Mafia 1 was an experience. I'm glad I was in it, there hasn't been another game like it since. Even though I was lynched on my birthday for the loss...
