I will be the third person on this topic to suggest something to do with video games.

Maybe compare different games for the same system? Start old school like Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt or something.

No way!! Mario Bros. is too classic to lose to a duck game where everytime you miss, a dog laughs at you from the grass. (I hate that dog... Mad ) Maybe Zelda would win overall.

Dear God, Duck Hunt sucks. How can you like that game? The best game is easily SMB3.

Unfortunately there are a lot of FF fans on the GL. I'm sure they'd push for some dumb RPG to win.

SMB3 is one of the best games I have ever played. I never got the opportunity to play the original Zelda, except on a Gameboy. However, Ocarina was really good, and Majora's Mask seems good, too, although I'm not even half way through. Other favorites are Banjo-Kazooie, and most of Banjo-Tooie.

I'm in the minority, but Majora's Mask is probably my favorite Zelda game.

I love LttP and OoT too though. Revenge most foul!

If we're going 8-bit though: Contra, SMB3, Zelda, in that order.

Up, up, down down, left, right, left, right, b, a, select(if 2 players) start.

Ahhh.....the classic. Actually, this code was not just contra but worked for 6 other Konami games as well.

I like that word. Or anything (as has been discussed before) which can be easily accessed by members, so that we can actually compare the two easily.

video games sound interesting ;p

but only if divided in some obvious groups, since comparing role playing games to first person shooters is like comparing apples and oranges.

some examples of categories could be: shooters, simulations, strategies, roleplaying, platform, multiplayer, massive multiplayer , oldtimers/legends.

obviously, in some cases one game could go in two categories, but that would be ok.

Other option is not to vote on 'best' game, but on something more specific, like 'what was most revolutionary game for you', or 'most addictive' or something like that. In such case, no categories are needed, but we narrow down choices.

oh, and webcomics would be my second choice, right after games ;p

~shrug~ Contra, SMB3, and Zelda are all completely different types of games. Arguing which is the best is way more interesting than arguing which FF game is the best, for example.

I second the web comics as well. There's a lot of funny ones out there and people can go to ones they never heard of and find a new favorite. Great idea lostdummy! Enthusiastic Grin
