That entry's not entirely right...you've lost it.

So cancel "success" (unless solver can emend).

It's the numbers that have us, isn't it? (Don't anagram that.)

How boot:

Even if not mostly correct, a mechanism has surfaced.

Step one is posit thoughts. Does everyone decide if everything correct? Perhaps even some additional result has prompt.

[Does not follow the rule.]

Post 1 follows a more general application of the rule. The actual puzzle paragraph uses a more specific application of the rule. Thus, post 1 is close, but not all the way there, as others have sugggested.

The situation is similar to one where the rule was "hide a bird in each sentence," and post 1 hid a cat. Yes, post 1 would have complied with the more general rule of "hide an animal," but the more specific rule can be gleaned from the paragraph.

By the way -- nice going, all who have solved so far.

[not the rule]Thok, not only does that post contain a wee bit of spoilery info, but it doesn't follow the rule (for the same reason as post #1), if I understand it properly.[/not the rule]

I witnessed the stuff Naboo saw earliest... did everybody?

I'm not seeing other points, though.

I observe: this sentence contains an odd nonword, "nonfractions", for no reason.

[does not follow anything]In other words, I see what Naboo was referring to in his first post, but not the other part of the solution.[/dnfa]

This will help (and won't follow any rule).

The following people have solved the complete puzzle to the best of my knowledge. Many people are most of the way there but are not getting the slightly smaller bit. Anyways, the list of people:

Appreciate order, Yoda does! Nevertheless, no nasty significance attached to specific ordering of consonants?

Consonants are not the solution, solvers need only observe numbers.

[no rule] The ungetting aren't getting. In the solutions that are close but cigarless, is it a matter of ordering words correctly, or is there an error in choosing the words, or is the problem something else? [no rule]

I persist trying erroneous solutions: same result.

Indeed, I confused significance - consonants are not needed for getting inside enigma. Before, ordering vowels seemed likely, yet is obviously untrue!

Perhaps some eye a purely harder rule? Facetiously, I challenge others to let your solutions use alternate example.

[not rule]To clarify, there's an obvious way to strength the spirit of the submission requirement. Perhaps some are up to the challenge? And yes, I know my post doesn't follow this potentially stronger rule[/not rule]

Following the rules when posting clues as to the rules is not as helpful as you might think. There seems to be a mental block we're not getting around.
