Embedded in the wall, just inches away from his neck, is a poison dart -- the type that's shot from a blowpipe.
Bluesoul, It would appear that you are a prime target. Okay, which wall and at what angle did the dart hit? |

The host's eyes were flaming. "The wall behind him of course! We all saw it, or is there something wrong with your eyes?"
Isaac plopped down in a settee. "By the time I had the right equipment to measure the angle of impact, someone had removed the dart. I think they didn't want us to trace the trajectory and figure out where they stood at the time of the attack." He paused "And in case you didn't notice: bluesoul has been brutally murdered. I think you meant to address Leonidas." |

A question such as "Did you see anything of the person who threw the dart" may have been more useful. If anyone else has handy day skills for the moment please be more careful about using them... Knowledge of who possesses these skills and who doesnt is dangerous too early on.
And Fos Azu - for sidestepping. A common mafia day kill tactic. Kill someone and then accuse blindly at the first person citing any random motive. |

I now wonder if someone here has a clue of how to decipher the messages.
Also, CzarJ posted a site that may help us with that message?
Could that have been a modkill?
If not, could his assassination be related to the ti he posted? _________________ Learn how to flip out like a ninja!

Did anyone else notice this:
| Quote: |
| Unfortunately, bluesoul doesn't make it to breakfast. He doesn't need one anyway. During the night someone broke into his room and stuffed him with healthy food. Too bad it came in lethal amounts. |
| Quote: |
| CzarJ shrugs and keels head-first into his breakfast. Apparently someone poisoned his salmon, spinach and mayonaise sandwich (with a side order of salad). |
Both deaths have do do with food. Maybe they are in some way related. AZu's sandwich theory makes some sort of sence to me, because amb first voted and then sandwiched CzarJ, who was then killed by a poisoned sandwich. But it looks too obvious to me: voting and sandwiching. But that could have been the wanted effect. For now FOS: amb _________________ I used to have a sig but I quit smoking |

| I'm all for putting pressure on people to learn something. But what exactly can we learn by pressuring amb (or AZu for that matter, as far as I'm concerned they are both equally suspicious (I.e. not very much)) in this game? Given the theme, it's very easy to for scum to claim roles, after all, there is a LOT of authors out there. |

Amb does seem a likely target.
Moreover, a little pressure is not going to make him explode. (though with all the food killings, I can't think of an evil chef right now who would cause that)
Because, however, this is literary mafia and it seems that the mod is in a literary mode, I say we should see how much info the mod can garner to us. Just a thought. |

Well that was interesting.
Just to throw it out there, Orson Scott Card (Czarj) is primarily known for science fiction works, particularly Ender's Game. Many of his works have underlying religious themes. I offer this information to anyone who wants it, courtesy of Wikipedia.
Anthony Horowitz (bluesoul) is a British author that works as a writer for various BBC detective/murder series. He also wrote the Alex Kidd novels, about a 14 yo boy training to be a spy. Perhaps bluesoul was a mafia spy/traitor? I find either that or that he might have been a cop to be likely possibilities based on his author's line of work. If he was a cop, I am saddened by his loss.
I unfortunately have not read Ender's Game, so I can make no educated guesses about Czarj's role or abilites, but perhaps someone else has? |

You made a good point there igota75. I think that Bluesoul/Horowitz was more likely to be a cop. But that is just my two cents. I'm not so sure about the role of CzarJ/Card. I read the Wiki articles about him and his books, but could not think about a role that would fit with him.
Does anyone out there have any idea about those kryptologic signs? Maybe the first one has "Welcome" as plaintext. But I couldn't do anything with that. Are there any professional kryptologics out there? _________________ I used to have a sig but I quit smoking |

Isaac laughed. "Alex Kidd? I think you are confusing some characters here. He invented Alex Rider. By the way, I do wonder if the movie based on the first book in that series will be any good. I guess we'll see on July 21."
His laughter subsided before he continued. "As for those signs, I'm pretty sure someone in your midst knows about them. It would make very little sense to leave notes you can't read yourself. Cryptology is a fascinating field. Perhaps some Wikipedian can be of help, I'll see if I can get a reliable internet connection going." He stood up and went away, leaving 12 ware authors to fend for themselves. |

As I said, I could easily see Leo as a scum trying to pose as town by making a "error". And I voted him because he hasn't posted anything to explain himself, even though I've seen him post in other threads.
| Quote: |
| And concerning Leo I think that he's not allowed to post because he's freezed? |
This, however, I had not considered. Quite possible, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt Unvote: Leo. But if you're out there, say something .
So, the next question is: Is the ??? vote a scum or town vote?
Case 1a: A townie voting for someone he think is scum, but who is, in fact, a townie
Case 1b: A townie voting for someone he think is scum, which turns out to be correct
Case 2: A townie voting for someone he knows is scum
Case 3: A scum voting for a townie (in effect trying to fake case 1 or 2)
Case 4. A scum voting for another scum, to make him look innocent.
Also we have amb vs. AZu:
1. amb Votes CzarJ (Which could be interpreted as a provocation).
2. amb Sandwich CzarJ with a (relatively) hasty post with no real content.
3.CzarJ dies.
4. AZu jumps on the chance to accuse amb.
5. amb accuses AZu for jumping on the chance to accuse him.
6. amb gets ??? vote.
So who to vote for? I don't really know but in an effort to learn more Vote: amb |

Rae-Quu-Ool quickly accepts the alias given to him by Isaac Asimod, and notices that Asimod is responding under the alias "Em-Gee-Em". Rae-Quu-Ool raises his hand as though to say something, then falls to the floor, appearantly unconscious. He gets up a moment later, stretches, and explains "I have a medical condition that makes that happen every so often*. Anyway, I just realised that Fritz may be referring to an incident in another book of his... I say we should keep our FoS on Amb, even if we don't vote him. He just strikes me as a little... mischevious."

We have here definitive proof that Talzor shouldnt be playing mafia. Random votes on day 1 are not scummy. Its impossible to deduce anything. I was annoyed enough that AZu made a pathetic "Oh heres scum with a trumpet" excuse to vote someone who had done nothing but vote someone who I havent seen in mafia for a long time. (Yes that was the reason, it was to welcome back czarj) "with a (relatively) hasty post with no real content." ITS DAY ONE!!!!!!!!!!! Mindless blether happens.
So AZu starts the bandwagon for poor reasoning and Talzor tries to continue it and in the process takes in either gullible Raekuul or Conniving mafia Raekuul and leads him to conclude that Amb is suspicious because he posted on page one day one and joked around with a fellow player. How dare he...
Look - If I had the ability to sandwhich kill Id be screwed - go look at my assassin history! Also it wouldnt make sense to outrightly show that hand on day 1. All youd have to do to win is sit back and wait and towards the end of the game start sandwiching. (See how pooky used the post-bomber in Deep South I for that tactic) |

Now, now there. There's no reason to get upset. We haven't actually lynched you and sometimes much can be learned from an shaky bandwagon.
As for the list, I merely presented the events as they had happened.
As I've said all along I think the whole sandwich thing is pretty farfetched and I still do, but we are not getting any new information by sitting on our behind waiting for something to drop from the sky.
And to address some specific points.
1. How can you claim that raekuul has been taken in? He just FoS'ed you (an honour that, by the looks of it, we shall all soon have).
2. If you indeed have a so-called sandwich ability, which I doubt, it probably would be a one-shot sandwich. Or, at the very most, a once a day sandwich. In fact, I doubt this ability so much that I quite happily volunteer to be sandwiched by amb at any time.
3. You seem to be reacting a little to strongly to a mere 3 votes. Hmm. food for thought.
4. Returning to the subject of raekuul. What's up with that so called writer? He's making a lot of posts that makes little to no sense, and he's trowing FoS'es left and right without no reason.
And now, while I consider if your excessively strong reation merets a continual vote, I'll go and make myself equally unpopular with AZu. Unvote: amb, vote: AZu |
