Sorry about the lack of updates, been very very busy lately.

I'd like to open up GLOC to some of the long-time members of the GL. You can put in puzzles you posted in VSP in the past, write new ones, help edit others'...

For now, anyone with more than 1000 posts in the Discussion Forums is welcome to join. Email me at minotaur@greylabyrinth.com if you are interested. When you join, I will add your screen name to GLOC (include the password you would like to use in your email, please, or I will email a default), and give you access to the GLOC forum.

Also, I would like some help getting specific types of puzzles archived. Luna has started on the 3x3s; I would love to get all the old chess puzzles up, as well other types like signmakers, cryptics, etc. If you would like to volunteer to be in charge of one of those types, let me know. I would prefer that you have authored some before, at least for the chess puzzles, just because it might make it a bit easier.

I will be out of town Wednesday-Saturday, so if you don't email me before then, don't be surprised if I don't get back to you until next week.

Thanks,
mith

Ok, Pika's job will be to stay out of the forum and never mention GLOC again. Since he doesn't need a password for that he can start right away.

Heh, you shouldn't post as Unregistered RSA all the time! (Do you have Forms AutoComplete enabled? All you would need to do is type the letters "Th..." and by there, The Ragin' South Asian should come up.)

And you don't want to type in the whole "The Ragin'" etc.? I see.

So, anyway, what does 'pulling a Quailman' entail?

Quailman used to post, and the repost in the same thread if he messed up the first post, then delete the first post (to avoid [this message has been edited by...]). (thus getting two posts for the price of one)

This was before the days of "preview post." I don't think he does this anymore.

I'll volunteer to help get a type of puzzle archived. Doesn't matter which one.

I guess I don't get that... what's so complicated about Preview Post?

If you have a lot of ubb code, it's nice to make sure that you didn't mess it up...

I know that's my problem. I just hit reply, notice the tiny mistake (sometimes even before it has been sent) and then edit, etc. (Perhaps this is what Bearty means.) I really should use that Preview feature. It's perfect for me!

Wow, I like that! *mends his ways* This is great! There is an edit on the same page! w00t! I don't even have to hit my back button!
