Some thoughts spring to mind. Sorry, no time to expand on them.
Hopefully they will be self-explanitory.

Voltaire, in 1768, wrote:

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him.

If you are suggesting that something can be made real, purely by the power of thought, then a lot more women would be pregnant.

I am also reminded of the scene, in Peter Pan, where Tinkerbell was poisined by Captain Hook. "I do believe in fairies!"

BTW, I know the above sounds a little flippant. It is not intended to be so. I just don't have time to sugar-coat it at the moment.
